Yosemite Camping Trip
It feels weird waking up and not seeing trees everywhere, or being graced with the presence of our two squirrel friends and their birdy amigo, Ted, Beyonce, and Steve (respectively). My four day camping trip to Yosemite with the Green Club was unbelievably FUN. I've never smiled or laughed so much in my life. Everything was perfect. The scenery was beautiful, the food was yummy, and the inside jokes were aplenty. The hike on mist trail was epicness to the max. The french tourists were cute and pleasing to me eyes. The air was freshhhhh. The work projects were fun and the park rangers were me-gusta-status, from their looks to their attitudes. What made this experience the best though was the people. I got to know members of the club SO much better. Everyone is just such a lovely human being. And the teachers... well, they were just the bees knees. I seriously admire everything they do for us, and I can't thank them enough. This trip to Yosemite has become the last little piece of high school that I have to put away. With the advent of college comes a completely new chapter in my life. Am I sad? Yes. Am I excited for what's to come? Mhmm. Still, it hurts that I won't see these people for god knows how long. And this depressing Radiohead song is totally not helping.
Can I go back to the wilderness, please?
Like, right now?
Civilization hurts my head.
