"Inner depths" a snapshot of my new #wip #wiptease #sculpture #hole #dark #red #white #handbuilt #vessel
As you may have noticed I was kind of away over the past few months, but I’m getting back into the mood for sims. :) My first priority is to finish that space container hull project. Shown here are eight 45 degree corner pieces which create 16 differently angled surfaces, that actually looks reasonably round. I still have to do all the left corners, double corners, flat end pieces and little fixes, though.
Once again there’s the “Unfinished Business” theme on GoS. These are just some of my candidates. (Last one is a replacement for that silly propeller hat.)
As always when I’m at the point of recolouring I keep finding new colours I like. I’m too tired now to put the textures into recolours and terrains, but here’s a sneak peak (top left is the original colour). The squares that are a little bigger show recolours with that mixing colours effect I showed off earlier. Had a long day at work, and tomorrow I’ll have guests. I hope to share them monday.
I was just playing around with several layers of different colour adjustments when this happened! That mixing of colours looks pretty cool, doesn’t it? :D
The adjustment mostly responsible is colour balance, one I haven’t really used so far. With that you can change the colour balance of shadows, normal lights and highlights independently. Unfortunately that apparently also means recreating this effect for other colours will be a little trickier than just changing the overall hue. For now it’s past midnight, though, time for bed.
The only reason I haven’t shared those space mushrooms on Omicron-Simtauri yet is that I wanted to add more sizes and recolours first. I think I should finish this within the next few days. The new set will also include less colourful options and matching terrain paints to make mushroom colonies look more connected.
