A new sculpture in the early stages. (Joy) . This one has been in the works for many weeks. I have the figure I shaped in my living room so it’s under constant scrutiny and consideration. How much do I want to solidify and how much to keep ephemeral and therefore “vulnerable” in its human frailty. . For this one, I am stitching her in places with a fine metal thread as I decide on the next steps… Is there any better feeling than beginning a new piece?
