And she had arrived at the hotel room. Hesitating slightly, Masumi tried to open the door to let herself in, only to end up just going through the closed door when she realized she didn’t have her room key on her.

And she had arrived at the hotel room. Hesitating slightly, Masumi tried to open the door to let herself in, only to end up just going through the closed door when she realized she didn’t have her room key on her.
“...I’m back...”

“…I suppose that’s one way to get into the spirit of things.”
“Well, it’s not like it’s hard for me to get into the spirit...” And in her moment of distraction, the hat slipped to the floor, prompting Masumi to pick it up and start trying to get it to stay on her head again.
“...Sorry about that, just trying to not mope around.”

Mary, meanwhile, had been dozing before she’d awoken to her daughter practicing. “…Move your head down slightly.”
The only sign Masumi heard was the fact that she quickly took the advice, ducking her head down slightly before unleashing a sharp jab at roughly throat level. If it had been a real fight instead of just practice, that would have easily slowed down an attacker and left them open to further attack.
After another while she finally stopped, moving to sit on the nearest chair with a huff. “Thanks for the tip, there.”

“Masumi…” She sighed, not quite sure what to say. She hopped up on the bed. “It’s something you’ll get used to.”
“Right...” This didn’t seem like something that she could just get used to.
“...Anyways, is there anything I should know about this?” Masumi didn’t want to be surprised in the future about this.
@wiseandwary ((From here!))
“Oh...that was ten years ago.” Well this was going to be fun to explain, so might as well start with the obvious issue first.
“I don’t know much about it, but some sort of organization tried to kill you. It didn’t work, but it did leave you stuck as a middle school aged child. You’ve been hiding since, and I’ve been helping you out.” What could have caused this? There didn’t seem to be any obvious cause for the memory loss...

“Why do you think that?” Mary seemed unperturbed about her daughter being a werewolf.
“I’m scared. I can’t control what I do in that state, and I’m afraid I might hurt someone or get caught or something.” What was she going to do if she ended up killing someone?
Ah yes, there’s that feeling of guilt.
There's a small note and a gift left on the bed. The note reads "Happy birthday, Masumi." If Masumi opens the box, she'l find little motorcycle novelty stickers, like one warning a person that if they touch the motorcycle, they may be subject to serious injury, and a smartphone mount for a motorcycle. -wiseandwary
Catching sight of the items left on the bed, Masumi’s first response was to immediately read the note before opening the gift.
“Thank you!” She was delighted at the contents of the gift, and perhaps later she would end up sending her mother a picture of her with her now very much decorated motorcycle.
