So the first time I met @saulwilliams was in 2001 when he was living in LA. We talked much about the state of #hiphop at the time. I was lamenting how we were losing claim to it and it was troubling to me. He countered with a point that would go on to become his song “Grippo”. He spoke about folks still keeping ownership and one he mentioned was POS'. I concurred because Mosaic Thump was on constant replay at the time. 15 years later #delasoul is still dope as then and POS has a multi-layered entendre to most of his lines.
