Legend would absolutely get something as important as a fairy and forget to tell people.

Like, he knows he has it. He catalogs every item he owns mentally, but he fails to mention it to the others. Of course he'd use it on them if it ever came down to it but he'd be damned if he let them waste it on him when he'd be 'fine'
