little out of the way you may see see justin hartley? that’s the label of fairview, but you can call them nathan oliver daniels. the fourty year old has been a resident in fairview for three weeks and currently works as an electrical engineer. they were rose’s best friend’s brother. since the news broke their usual rational manner has seemed to been replaced by a combative demeanor cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of being indirectly responsible for a car accident resulting in someone death is hanging over their head. books neatly organized on a dusted shelf, quiet scoffs at stupid remarks, a chess board missing a pawn. wc: emily ashworth’s older brother
Yes, he is, the emily ashworths brother, he’s a fan of his sister, not so much his extended family. Clarification, the girls are okay.
One thing he does not know how to handle, is crying. Don’t do it, please. He’s never been good with babies because they cry, way, way too much. Maybe just don’t leave him with children in general. He’s awkward with them. They’re cute but that’s about it.
Nathan is very much a trust no one, question everything kind of person and it hasn’t completely led him off so far. Of course he’s messed up but as much as he hates it, he is human and he does make mistakes.
He’s also not great at relationships in general. example a; his family. Pretty much the only example you really need to understand?
Often he’s honest to be honest, but rarely to hurt people (unless it’s because he doesn’t like them then he’s holding nothing back) but people see his bluntness as rude and he’s kind of accepted that.
Enjoys chess. Multiple apps on his phone so he can play multiple variations of the game with multiple people at one time. That or sudoku.
He doesn’t hold grudges but only because he doesn’t value most people enough for them to impact him. He does hold on to situations moreso though, if that makes sense.
He’s been engaged 2 time's, both different women. Still never married. Still no kids. Nothing to show for it. Hallmark movies are a damn lie.
Has a motorcycle, it’s his pride and joy, loves that thing.
Best way to take out your anger, in his opinion, are some boxing gloves, a sparring mate, and a big space. Results differ depending on how angry you are and who your sparring mate is.
see 4354 ? that’s the SACCHARINE of wisteria lane, but you can call them SYDNEY ASHWORTH. the THIRTY-THREE year old has been a resident on wisteria lane for ONE YEAR now. they were rose’s VET. since the news broke their usual KIND HEARTED manner has seemed to been replaced by a ANXIOUS demeanour cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of a previous marriage and selling test answers while in college is hanging over their head. flour smudged cheeks, golden retriever with it’s tongue slinging out the side of a car window, puppy breath.
been a vet longer than she’s been married to charles
loves her husband unconditionally. trusts him. none of her friends really understood how she fell for the guy, and for a while she wasn’t sure either. But she feels as if she sees the man underneath his façade...she feels as if they make each other better. Maybe she’s seeing wrong, but she believes there’s more to charles.
wants to start a family, but is having second thoughts about that with the whole rose thing.
she doesnt talk about her life before college and for good reason. she’s not close to her family. her father did not walk her down the aisle, though her family was present at the wedding. They didn’t approve of the boy, but they rarely approved of anything.
while in college she decided in order to make extra money she would sell answers to tests....something she’s not very proud of now, but it helped pay the bills. SECRET
loves animals. they can’t lie to you. they can’t hurt you. not like people.
does volunteer work at the human society
moved out of her parents house at 18. With her scholarships it made living on campus pretty easy.
loves to bake and cook. you can bet your ass she packs lunches (with little notes tucked in them) for her husband.
Personality
Sydney can be a little anxious thing, especially with the dark things happening.
she;s very friendly to everyone, almost to a fault. She wants to come off as perfect and be on everyone’s good side, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way. She’s a people pleaser.
has a fairytale view of things.
very much like a golden retriever personified xD
head cannons
left handed
bites he nails
twirls her hair
bakes when she’s stressed about things..
actually despises one of the clients that comes into her clinic. not the pet. their mom. Something about them just grates Sydney’s nerves...not that anyone could really tell. but she does talk about this person to her husband xD
( sabrina carpenter, cisfemale, she/her. ) — see brooke ashworth ? that’s the terpsichorean of fairview . the eighteen year old has been a resident on neighborhood for her whole life and currently works as a high school student. they were rose’s youngest ballet teacher. since the news broke their usual disciplined manner has seemed to been replaced by a disengaged demeanor cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of the fact that she’s become addicted to adderall to keep focused and keep up with studies in her senior year as well as her ballet. worn ballet slippers, expresso and textbooks.
brooke has always loved dancing, she started when she was five years old, not just because her mother loved it, but because she thought the dancers were beautiful and she wanted to be just like them.
speaking of her mother, she’s practically her mini me, the two are closer than ever and brooke tells emily everything, except the obvious.
the blonde is very into her studies and when she isn’t taking her own ballet classes or teaching the younger dancers ballet, you can probably catch her studying or doing homework.
that is, unless she’s hanging out with her best friend peyton, just like with her mom, she values the girls opinion more than anyone else and tells her everything, except anything to do with her addiction to pills or the crush that she has on her.
brooke started using aderall after she fell asleep in the middle of a test, when one of her classmates pulled her away after class and handed her the pill she didn’t think much of it, didn’t think it would even work but here she is, almost four months later and still using.
truth be told, she’s convinced herself that it makes her a better dancer, a better student and a better daughter.
since rose’ death, her sweet persona has disappeared little by little, leaving her more jaded and cold than she was before. the only people who really see the real her are those that she’s closest to and her family.
she loves music and has a gorgeous voice, but that’s mostly a talent she keeps to herself and is on the back burner.
a little out of the way you may see see sophia bush ? that’s the pedestal of fairview, but you can call them eleanor “nora” rhodes. the thirty seven year old has been a resident in fairview for six weeks and currently works as an pediatric nurse. they were rose’s neighbor. since the news broke their usual supportive manner has seemed to been replaced by a bossy demeanor cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of she had an argument with rose a few hours before her death, she’s plotting a way to potentially get her boyfriend fired so that he can move to fairview with her. is hanging over their head. half-used bottles of perfume, answering friends’ calls at 2am, and loud laughter. (jay, 26, cst, they/them.)
eleanor “nora” rhodes is the younger sister to elias rhodes. she’s new in town, so most of her pre-established connections will be either through eli or through her former sister-in-law, piper.
growing up, nora was convinced that she was going to be a neurosurgeon. she loved all of her science classes, loved learning how the brain worked, loved the challenge of it all. she was always a good student in school, got good grades, and some might even have described her as the “teacher’s pet.” she had a core group of friends, but really didn’t branch out too much. but she was on her high school’s academic decathalon team, so she was fine with not going to all the big parties, ya know?
as she got older, she realized that she really didn’t want to be the person doing the surgeries with patients that she couldn’t actually connect with. beyond wanting to work in the medical field, she wanted to work with people. the neurosurgeon route didn’t quite allow for that. so instead of applying for medical school, she applied for nursing school and became a pediatric nurse instead.
even though she’s elias’s younger sister, sometimes she feels like she’s the one who needs to take charge. she loves him dearly, but some of the choices that he’s made simply don’t rub her the right way. even that might not be putting it quite right – the choices he makes are fine, she supposes… but the way he goes about those choices are questionable at best. part of her motivation for moving to fairview was to keep a closer eye on elias, hoping that having family nearby would be a good thing for him.
about five years ago, she met the man of her dreams. he was nerdy, he was sweet, and he prioritized her just as much as she prioritized him. they didn’t start dating right away. instead, it was only after a drunken kiss that they even shared their feelings for each other. the rest? it’s history. they’ve been dating for about two years now.
nora’s move is throwing a wrench in their relationship, since he wasn’t able to move to fairview with her due to his job. this is the first time that either of them have been in a long-distance relationship, and it isn’t as easy as either of them thought it would be. nora desperately wants him to move to be with her. she’s just not certain that’s going to happen any time soon.

ADOLESENCE.
born caroline grace moody on feburary 6th,1980, it was almost as though the second she came to be, she was destined to be a handful although the youngest of 3, she was never going to be the type to be the cute and innocent one.
see, considering her family grew up rather high class, the young girl in her overalls and ripped jeans never seemed to fit into her family, she never had anyone to vent to, no one to talk to, and this resulted in her getting in with the wrong crowd in grade 7.
unknown to her, she possessed a very addictive personality and at the ripe age of 13, to curb her emotions of being the family black sheep, and just to fit in she began to use pills.
age fourteen came and in april, her parents found her stash, and after hours of yelling? they decided to send her away to boarding school.
the city of boston came into and she suddenly felt free to be whoever she wanted. though her drug use stopped, she was still nervous not knowing anyone made her a bit of a shut in.
it was then that she met amanda, the two bonded over the fact that they had no one else, but their friendship soon turned to mutual attraction and the two began to date.
their relationship was always sweet, and though it stayed under the radar, it was all caroline felt she had.
though, when she was in grade eleven and amanda was a senior what ever made her entire demeanor change, also broke them apart. the two broke up, caroline moved back to fairview and finished high-school, met her spouse and began her teaching degree.
ADULTHOOD.
though she never thought she’d see amanda ever again, one day she saw another family move into the neighbourhood and when she saw that aged face, she just knew. it was her.
yet when charlie and amanda came over to introduce themselves and though her ex love looked at her like a deer in the headlights, she introduced herself as Rose Moore with a sweet but pained smile and the rest was history.
After that, the two were simply neighbours and Caroline Abello didn’t expect any type of relationship with ROSE again.
For her, everything was fine, she had a good life, gorgeous children, an amazing spouse but one night in late winter, she hit a patch of ice and her car rolled. It turned out she had a herniated disk in her back, and for pain until surgery, her doctor gave her opioids.
not wanting to get into her previous addiction, she began to take the pills and soon became addicted again.
it’s been a year and a half, and the woman still takes them, surprisingly as a secret but her personal life began to crumble.
december fifteenth, in the afternoon, when she was in a drug filled haze, she heard the news. rose was dead and they never got real closure.
this broke her further and she soon started drinking late at night when her husband was working and it’s been going on since.
it’s also started causing her mind to whirl, because she believes rose didn’t do this.
WANTED CONNECTION: her affair.
that was then she met him, a friend or at least he was a friend in the beginning but one night when the two were drinking one thing led to another and they slept together.
though they agreed it was horrible and a one time thing, their mutual attraction brought them back together and before they knew it, they were falling in love.
he’s the only one caroline feels like she can be herself with, sometimes she’s not even high.
he wants her to tell her husband so they can really be together, but just like everyone else in the neighbourhood, she has a persona to uphold so instead she meets him late at night only, breaking both their hearts a little more every time.
( melisa pamuk, female, she/her. ) — see yasmine arslan (murray) ? that’s the broken bird of fairview . the twenty-nine year old has been a resident on wisteria lane for four years and currently works as a registered nurse (rn). yasmine confided in rose with the death of her son and grew close enough to her to help her cope with the his loss. since the news broke, any progress they’d made toward yasmine becoming a person again has sent her into regression. her returning-optimism has seemingly been replaced by a dark, cynical sense of humor cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of one or two secrets is hanging over their head. they are described as smelling of ysl’s black opium, having a bronze-glow with enticing eyes and dark, long tresses with full lips and being able to save a life just as quickly as they can take one. // (jessy, she/her, twenty-four, cst).
+ disciplined, resourceful
- cunning, perfervid
tw: child death, miscarriage, depression.
short version:
yasmine arslan comes from a wealthy family, primarily involving the shale or oil companies they own. she didn’t want to follow in her four older siblings’ footsteps (with yasmine being the youngest) and continue delving into the family business. she joined the military at a young age and became a medic for the u.s. marines with her family’s full-support.. it was meeting adrian that encouraged her to wrap up her contract and become honorably discharged from the marines seeing as fraternizing was forbidden. however, her devotion to helping people didn’t cease and she accepted an offer as an rn in the hometown they decided to settle into.
it came to little surprise to either of them, even after a miscarrige, when yasmine became pregnant with their little boy, josiah. those around her were shocked to see her excel at being a mother seeing as she seemingly didn’t possess a single maternal bone in her body, but motherhood changed her. she adored her son and josiah was absolutely adored to bits by both of his parents.
adrian had been in the military a lot longer than yasmine and had a lot more blood on his hands than she did. he had a harder time adjusting to the civilian lifestyle than she had and ultimately decided to cope by becoming a mercenary. he was a loving husband and father by day, but a killer, gun-for-hire by night. all of the killing began to take a toll when he sloppily allowed one of his marks to get away. he didn’t think it would come back to haunt him until it did. their four-year old son was killed in cold-blood in their arms, forever changing their lives and their marriage.
yasmine was never a warm person, by any means, but she lived for her son and her family. his death forced herself into a recluse unable to do much other than autonomously meander throughout life.
instead of separating, the family moved to wisteria lane to try and start over and discuss the idea of trying for another child. despite her cold demeanor, nursing is her passion. she seldom shows her emotions and really only allows adrian in long enough to get a glimpse of a person beyond her beautiful, bronzed, cold demeanor. she doesn’t know her husband is responsible for the death of their son because heaven forbid. when she isn’t in her nurses scrubs or work uniforms, she’s seen in designer attire. very little people know of josiah’s existence because no one is allowed in their home. those who are hardly make it far enough to see his room or any lingering pictures of him.

Silky camisoles, satin blouses, plain tees, oversized sweaters, and over-the-shoulder shirts dominate her closet. She also wears dresses, sundresses or bodycons and anything in between, and even dual-utilizes her blazers as dresses. Yasmine can also be found wearing her ex-husband’s tees and jackets when she isn’t wearing her own cardigans, denim or leather outwear, or workout gear. Bralettes are always fashionably seen poking out of her shirts. She mostly wears neutral or minimalistic hues such as black, white, nude, baby pink or blue, gray, and any variations of these shades. Her obscene shoes are a vast collection of chunky booties, long boots, heels, wedges, and flats, mostly black with the occasional color. She can always be found wearing a designer bag and accessories. Her ears only wear one singular set of diamond earrings, while she wears a small cross around her neck that she interchanges with a lock that consists of a photo of her son, Josiah. She still wears her wedding bands and no other rings.
☾ ━ Physical Description: Barely standing at five and a half feet and a little over a hundred pounds, Yasmine can be described as petite. She is often underestimated as she can put anyone on their ass before they can anticipate it. Her go-to makeup look consists of a natural look unless she’s purposely going for a subtle glam look. Either way, her lipstick choices are subtle nudes, pinks, browns, and the occasional red. Mostly, she sticks to matte lips or clear glosses. Her lashes are thick and long without mascara, but she piles it on to accommodate her thick eyebrows and full lips. Now that she is no longer in the military or nursing, she can be found wearing black pants, booties or heels, and blouses. When she’s summoned to aid one of the Bianchi members or associates with medical attention, she will wear her nursing outfit if she can, but she always keeps her nursing bag handy that she mostly substitutes with her handbags.

☾ ━ Positive Traits: Courageous, determined, confident, enthusiastic, optimistic, honest, passionate.
☾ ━ Personality: She hadn’t had an easy childhood and it hardened her from an early age. Although she’s a nurse, her personality doesn’t fit the bill of a healer. She’s cold to nearly anyone initially other than her patients and her son before his death, and her ex-husband pre-divorce. She has a cold, dry sense of humor that consists of sarcasm and beration of others. She is easily set off and has been known for her violent outbursts, none of which she’s ever lost because she’s underestimated. While she can come off as neurotic and moody, Yasmine can be loyal to a fault and always puts the physical wellbeing and needs of others before her own. She was born from a wealthy family and has always chosen to help others in need, despite her lack of compassion. Losing her son only made her more aggressive and passionate, closed-off and even malicious. Few get to see past the fortress she’s created around her heart.
☾ ━ Fixations (Likes):
☾ ━ Aversions (Dislikes):
☾ ━ Vices: Red or white wine, tequila, the occasional cigarette, prescription anti-anxieties and opiates.
☾ ━ Medical History: Two pregnancies (one unsuccessful via miscarriage, one successful), fertility issues, a broken arm, two bullets in her shoulder, chicken pox, occasional seasonal allergies.
☾ ━ Psyche: Yasmine was diagnosed with a mild case of PTSD following her two tours overseas, but was easily cured with therapy and an antidepressant. She despised taking medications until she was diagnosed with a slight case of postpartum before giving birth to her son instead of after birthing him. Josiah was the light of Yasmine and Garrett’s lives, completely curing her of any depressive state she might’ve been in as she had always considered herself mentally strong. Since his death, she’s been unable to recover from the pit of despair and meanness that consumes her life. The only person capable of even coming close to making her feel a sliver of emotion is Garrett. She abuses prescription drugs, especially opiates, to cope with the loss. Occasionally she becomes roped into a state of mind where she seeks comfort in Garrett and sleeps with him, subconsciously trying for another child despite her aversion to exposing another child to their childhood.
Other:
➤ Yasmine was born in the country of Turkey into a strict household that consisted of three additional siblings (two older brothers, one younger sister), four including herself. Her parents own a shale corporation within the country and gave their children trust funds to jump start their educations and futures. For a better chance at a future, she was sent to live with an aunt and an uncle who raised her in Texas. They’d always envisioned their daughter as a doctor, but nursing was her passion. They were proud of her for graduating with honors and still continuing to work her way up the ranks in the medical field.
➤ She spent the entirety of her career easily surpassing the people around her at every milestone and every skill while healing those around her. She witnessed death until it desensitized her and tried to heal anyone, enemies and allies alike.
➤ Yasmine met Adrian Murray early-on in her nursing schooling career. He was infamous, more than a man but less than a God as far as other soldiers were concerned. After years of despising men and swerving them at every turn, she became infatuated with him despite the differences in their age. Garrett Russell was a Force Recon Marine, Scout Sniper, 2nd Lieutenant, and was a Silver Star recipient, with over a decade and a half of military experience under his belt. He reciprocated his feelings for her and chose to continue their relationship after he retired. Not shortly after she graduated, Yasmine became a nurse at a local hospital in Corpus and they began to see each other.
➤ After many false positives, difficulty with their fertility, and a miscarriage, Adrian and Yasmine successfully conceived a son, Josiah Zayn Murray. He was the best parts of his parents, the only good thing either of them were capable of. Adrian became a mercenary to support his family, even though Yasmine had her trust fund to keep them living a comfortable lifestyle. Regardless, he chose to funnel his energy and skills into something he was good at rather than let the trauma of his experiences as a soldier consume him.
➤ Their family was the epitome of picture-perfect, of happiness. It was enviable to watch a beautiful family live such a quaint, charmed life, despite Yasmine’s opposition to her husband’s occupation. She tried to focus on being a good mother and a supportive wife, but often found herself resenting him every time he’d come home covered in blood, smelling of gunpowder or burnt flesh. He was an attentive father, but became lost in the bloodlust aspect of being a mercenary and it eventually came back to haunt them.
➤ Shortly after completing a job, Adrian inadvertently left a loose end behind, or so she assumed.. Said ‘loose-end’ eventually found his family and remorselessly attacked them, spraying their home with bullets, leaving both of them unscathed. Their son, however, was shot repeatedly and died immediately and gruesomely in their arms. It took her awhile to figure out he was to blame, despite having her suspicions, but she resented him beyond her ability to remain married to him. They became separated because she couldn’t see him without thinking of Josiah, the spitting image of Adrian, but she refused to officially divorce him..
➤ Eventually, they moved to Fairview at the recommendation of a family friend and settled into the quaint neighborhood of Wisteria Lane, hoping for a chance at a fresh start where they could hopefully work on their marriage and try for another child.
➤ She doesn’t allow anyone to publicly see her grieve, choosing to break down on her own or amid her husband’s presence. Her coldness only amplified and she’s recently become more violent, hitting Adrian and throwing anything at him while purposely instigating so he’ll defend himself against her.
➤ She purposely finds and puts herself in situations that could cost her her life, unafraid of death and the morbid possibility of meeting her son soon.

Let’s start with a little HISTORY (TW: Death, Cheating)
Until she was ten, Piper Erikson’s life was boringly average. And looking back she liked it better that way. She had a loving mom who taught her how to draw and basically ran the PTA, she had a doting father who was only ever home on weekends, she had a big golden retriever who ran around the yard with her better than any sibling could. That all fell apart when her mother, just driving home from a Saturday night dinner with her girlfriends, was killed by a drunk driver. They were perfectly normal one minute and then overnight her world had changed.
Tom Erikson gave up his job, dedicated himself to raising his daughter and never truly got over his late wife. Their love story, her father loyalty to her mother even after her death, made Piper romanticize marriage slightly. She became convinced that there was only one person who there for everybody, and if you were lucky enough you found them.
However, her mother’s untimely death and her father’s sole devotion to her, also had Piper craving a normal family. One that felt complete. One she’d had once.
When she met Eric Rhodes she thought that she’d found her elusive one and even better, he convinced her that they would have the family she’d lost. They would be stable and whole. They’d be happy.
And for a time they were. Within six months of meeting the two were engaged, they’d known each other less than a year when they got married. First comes love, second comes marriage, third comes. After her daughter was born, Piper thought she had everything she’d ever wanted. Sure she wasn’t the perfect wife Mrs Erikson had been, she couldn’t cook to save her life and she could never get trouser creases ironed just right. But she had her husband, she had her child, she had the nice house in the good neighbourhood.
She should have known it would all fall apart. Should have learnt that not everything that shimmers is gold.
When she found out that Eric had been having an affair she was livid, heartbroken, devastated. He’d broken every promise that she had built her life on and suddenly she felt like a failure. As a wife, though she loathes to admit it, but more importantly as a mother. She felt as though she’d let her daughter down, at least her father had always preserved the image of his perfect marriage. She didn’t even have that to offer.
She wishes that she could hate her ex as much as she should, as much as she wants to, but she certainly hates his new girlfriend and the fact that out of every place they could live in Fairview they’ve chosen the next door.
She and Rose, despite having been friends since the Rhodes moved onto Wisteria lane, had a bit of a falling out when the affair became public. In Piper’s mind, her longtime friend wasn’t doing quite enough to support her over Mila. They made up, and had been trying to move passed it before Rose’s death, but things were still more strained than they’d been before.
For the last eighteen years, Piper has taught at Fairview High. Once dreaming of becoming an artist, the instability just wasn’t compatible with her life as a married mother. Even moreso now that she’s a single one. However, it was important to her that she kept art in her life and she still puts her art school education to good use. It was her final connection to her mother, she might not be able to bake those apple pies or collaborate a bake sale, but she can still create and that makes her feel powerful.
At the beginning of last December, she was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease, further along than her doctor would like. She’d planned on telling her friends, but she hadn’t wanted to ruin their Christmas - Christmas is her favourite holiday and God forbid anything ruin the sanctity of the holiday - it turns out she needn’t have worried with Rose’s death effectively killing all their spirit. She hasn’t found the right time to drop her own healthy bombshell on them, and frankly she’s feeling guilty that she could have passed the disease onto her daughter. She already feels as though she’s failed her so much.
And now for some PERSONALITY
Piper at her core is a creative. She might not be a Pinterest mom and she struggles with elements of DIY but give her a blank canvas and she you’d swear she could create magic.
She’s determined, doesn’t know when to give up. Sometimes she has to be flexible, she’s learnt how to adapt, but she always gets there in the end.
Much to her embarrassment, Piper is the clumsiest person you’ll ever meet. Sometimes it’s as simple as going over on her heel, which is why she’s always preferred flats, or tripping over a step. However, coupled with her forgetfulness, she has gotten herself into some humiliating situations over the years. It’s a wonder she can still look her neighbours in the eye.
Piper used to be fun and confident. However, still the affair there’s been a notable change. Surely anybody would understand though, your husband of nearly two decades cheating on you with the new young fit neighbour, it would be enough to make any woman insecure.
( nathalie kelley, cis woman, she/her. ) — see samantha ashworth ? that’s the spitfire of fairview . the thirty-three year old has been a resident on wisteria lane for one year now and currently works as a realtor. they were rose's book club member. since the news broke their usual decisive manner has seemed to been replaced by a contrite demeanor cracking under the surface. maybe it’s the fact that a dark cloud in the form of she used to work for an escort is hanging over their head. gazing out the window at greener grass, owning more heels than sneakers, pearly whites hidden behind wine stained lips. (admin jay, 26, cst, they/them.)
samantha marlena ashworth (neé franco) was born and raised in atlanta, georgia. her family was wealthy and able to provide for her in every way imaginable. her father was a surgeon and her mother was involved in several philanthropic efforts. because of everything they did during the day, samantha was largely raised by various nannies, who she considered to be closer to her than her actual parents.
she has two siblings; one is a year older than her, and the other is seven years younger than her. samantha saw her younger sibling as an annoyance, and wasn’t very close with her older sibling, either.
for the most part, her childhood was uneventful. her mother expected her to attend the events she ran as her plus one (as mr. franco often had to work and could not attend, himself). supposedly, samantha was supposed to gain an interest in philanthropy. instead, she gained an interest in event planning and people-watching.
she went to college in chicago. at this time, school wasn’t very important to her; as long as she passed everything and made it through in one piece, she felt she was good to go. plus, she was far more interested in the social aspects of college life than the academic ones. seeing the decline in her grades, her parents threatened to cut her off if she didn’t start to perform better. almost as a form of resistance, samantha changed absolutely nothing.
her parents did cut her off for one semester… but ultimately, they gave in and restored her trust fund. but it was during this time that sam found a way to make money for herself. one of her friends told her that she’d been working as an escort to make some quick, easy money off the books. this friend showed sam the ropes and helped her get her first customers. she loved the excitement of living a glamorous lifestyle and getting attention from different people each and every night. she continued working as an escort from ages 22-25.
after graduation, she mostly worked as an administrative assistant. it was a boring job, but it paid enough bills for her ‘supplemental income’ to help her pay for a more lavish lifestyle. eventually, she got bored of both and decided to become a realtor instead. as she got closer to her thirties, sam realized that she wanted a more stable life, and she wanted to start a family. she started slowing things down and changing her hobbies to try and find the person she ultimately wanted to be.
she had a few long-term relationships, including one where she was certain she’d found her ‘one true love.’ but it turned out that he wasn’t quite ready to propose, and after a few months of fighting over taking that next step, sam broke things off.
a bit later, she met charles, and they got married a few years after that. she's never been certain that he’s the one… but she cares for him deeply, and she’s pretty sure she loves him, and he gives her a stable life that still allows her to enjoy the finer things in life.
a few other headcanons:
one of samantha's favorite hobbies is judging other people… specifically for their fashion choices. she's been fortunate enough to always have enough money to pay for the clothes she wants, and doesn’t understand how someone could leave their house looking anything less than their absolute best.
if she really sat down to think about it, she’d start to question if she ever really loved her husband or if she loved the idea of getting married and starting a family. maybe that’s the reason why she’s started to become more and more hesitant about having children with him, despite the fact that she’s always wanted two babies of her own.
being a realtor is a job that she can do anywhere. sam likes the idea that her job will always be in demand and that no matter where she ends up in life, she’ll always find work. but her job is also only that – a job. the things that sam enjoys most don’t exactly translate to a profession, so she picked the most tolerable thing that she possibly could.
she's incredibly envious of the life that emily and ted seem to have. they're high school sweethearts. they're picture perfect. she wants her relationship with charles to grow and turn into a loving, supportive
