Witch Blaze Headcanons

For some short context of Witch!Blaze’s origins. Blaze got a spellbook from a yard sale which turned out to be cursed. She read it and used some of its spells, but at midnight the curse takes over her and she becomes evil, causing chaos. The boys stepped in and stop her by burning the spellbook.

Well turns out a few pages survived the fire. So Blaze can still use magic but the curse is no longer strong enough to control her mind.

When Blaze finds out about that, she gets a new, non-cursed spellbook as well as a potion book.

Where advanced/powerful spells were easy to do when she was mind controlled. Now they either take a lot of physical energy and/or require some kind of ritual.

If Blaze uses too much physical energy, she’ll pass out from exhaustion. It also usually leads to her getting a migraine when she wakes up too. So she only uses those spells when it’s necessary and there are no other options.

She can use simple spells (“cantrips” as she calls them) with ease though, requiring little to no physical energy and can be done quickly.

Blaze sometimes like to joke that swimming in water will make her melt (like in the Wizard of Oz). Don’t worry, she doesn’t actually melt in water.

Blaze has also taken up creating potions, sometimes to help her friends (Such as making a sun-resistance potion for Matt, since he’s a vampire, sometimes for experimentation, sometimes to sell them to those interested, and sometimes just for the hell of it.

Blaze does sometimes use a broomstick to fly to places (such as when running errands), though it did take her a few times to do it right without injury, she actually prefers it over driving a car.

Blaze sometimes calls her cat Felix as her “familiar” however, this is just a joke because Felix does not actually have any magical powers or connections to her.

Blaze’s pupils glow green in the dark. They also glow green whenever she uses spells.

While Blaze mostly has their powers under control. When very pissed or extremely stressed, her magic powers will get out of control, and will behave similar to what she was when she was mind controlled. Her whole eyes will also start flaming green glow flames when it happens to. Fortunately it stops when she calms down. If I were to compare it to anything it’s kind of like when Starfire gets angry in Teen Titans.
