I wanna be the old man in the neighborhood that everyone knows of but only few have spoken to. I want to live in the biggest oldest house. I want all the children to be afraid to come to my house on Halloween but all the big kids do it on a dare.

I want kids to walk past my house and see my wrinkly old man face gazing out the window and whisper to each other "oh my god I saw him! I saw him!"

I want there to be rumours that I'm just a ghost, or a witch, and I'll haunt or curse anyone who steps on my porch.

And then

I want to one random day, after years of building this reputation, decorate my house with flowers, sit out on my porch, wave to the kids, smile, have long conversations with anyone who approaches to investigate. Bake cookies and let the smell waft through my windows.

I want to go into town and buy bread and tell stories to the cashier who rings me out.

And then I'll invite my neighbors to dinner and have a huge feast in my giant dining room. Everyone realizes I was just a nice old man all along.

Why? You ask?

For the drama of it all.

I know this may be a weird question to ask on this account but....

For those of you who practice witchcraft or generally interested in witch like events(no judging here), what is it really like?

I’m writing a story and would love to hear your stories or what exactly goes on in your situation. Again no judgement and I’ve looked up enough but I want to hear what it’s like for you, or what people think you do, what you really do. Things like that. Also....I hope I didn’t offend anyone with this question either.
