custom sprite i made earlier this year of my fan apprentice, orion!! i learned soooo much from working on this piece, & had a blast doing it. 💜

[credits: hair is heavily referenced from julian's sprite, and bg is an asset taken directly from the game. everything else is hand drawn!]

Details:

his necklace is a bit of southern italian folk magic, a cimaruta. it's meant to ward off the malocch (mal'occhio if u wanna be correct according to standardized Italian.) the base is a sprig of rue, and the symbols within the branches differ according to cultural customs by region. i picked a few that i liked from among the most common, and made the snake look like faust for funsies.

the bracer has their sun, moon, and rising zodiac signs engraved on it, along with the sigil of the archangel Raphael. Raphael is associated with protection, healing, and restoration (iykyk.)

belt is a crios, a traditional hand-woven belt worn by irish fishermen.

shades are pince-nez bc i couldn't get the arms of the glasses to look right, LOL
