I Was/I Am

This poem is in dedication to those times where we need to look back on who we were, to who we are now. To see how much we have changed, because we learned to love ourselves.

This is perfect for spells or mediation for self-love and growth as well. Just make sure to put emphasis on "I was/I am". And start the "I am" phase with a whisper before gradually raising your voice.

I was just a simple person,

Who blended with the crowd;

Who wasn't very special,

With their head up in the clouds.

I was just another smile,

Amongst the smiles around me;

I was just another flower,

Amongst lovely blooms to see.

I was just a lonely spirit,

Who would be ignored without a care;

Just because I wasn't funny enough,

Or didn't have the nicest hair.

I was just a simple person,

Until I closed my eyes;

And whispered to myself,

Until my voice would rise.

I am a special person,

Unique amongst the crowd;

I have a lovely imagination,

That is grander than the clouds.

I am more than just a smile;

I am laughter, I am free.

I am more than just a flower;

I am a rose amongst the peony.

I am fine to be by myself,

For my own company is quite alright;

I know I still have all my friends,

Who would support me through a fight.

I am a person who has grown,

To love who they are to be;

For I was just a simple person.

But now, I am truly me.

Morning Motivation

May these words unweave,

into the rays of dawn,

and my fatique leave

from every yawn.

Awaken, my body,

my soul, my mind.

May this day bring me no misery,

and true joyfulness be what I find.

Poetry for the Caster in Us

I always felt like I was pretty good at poetry, and always felt a strong connection to it. Perhaps to the point that it could be used in spell casting, or ritual chants.

Soo...

I figured, if anyone wants me to write a small poem to use for personal use, all you have to do is ask and give what you want the poem to intend.

Curse a person? Done! Send peace to a friend? Finished? Just want a poem that is about fall? That's perfectly fine!

Just send the intention, and I'll write with little to no hesitation!

I will let you know, I do have a life. I work a lot, so I'll try and keep with your requests!!!

That is Alright

Little sapling, tiny sapling;

Amongst the budding blossoms,

You start your path to growth.

So long it has been since the day you were placed,

Within the Earth that does nuture you;

Yet it seems, as you've seen, she nutures the flower more,

For she has gifted them their beauty and softness,

Such bright colors and sweet scents;

All which you don't have.

But that is alright.

Little sapling, growing sapling,

Sprouting leaves that reach for the sky;

You envied the blooms and dreamed of their petals;

Longing to look like the tulips that swayed with the breeze.

Which you do not.

And that is alright.

Taller sapling, growing sapling,

With grasping roots digging further down;

The flowers have started to lose their luster

As a chill has filled the air.

Soft petals darken and wilt as frost seeps into their stems...

For once you don't envy them.

And that's alright.

Little tree, growing tree,

Your leaves had flittered away in Autumn

And left you bare in Winter;

But yet there you stand;

And the flowers don't.

And that is alright;

For you are not a flower.

Growing tree, mighty tree,

Who is ever growing taller;

Who is stretching your branches to embrace the sun,

And to sway amongst the wind.

There will be the days where you still envy the flowers and their beauty.

"That is alright," you remind yourself.

Mighty tree, learning tree;

Who has seen many storms,

And the frost of many winter's.

You still stand in the meadow,

Proud amongst the blossoms anew.

For although you may not have the beauty of a flower;

You have the wisdom of yourself.

And that is alright;

For they are only flowers,

And you are a tree everlasting,

And ever growing.

And that is alright.

The first poem is to read over and reflect upon yourself as the tree. However, if you truly need something to speak, here you go.

" I was a tiny sapling,

Who needed time to grow,

But the flowers all around me,

Seemed to brightly glow.

The flowers were so beautiful,

That I believed that I was not.

But I know it to be tragic,

As I watched the flowers rot.

Yet here I stand and am left to learn,

How lucky I am to be a tree;

Though I still grow amongst the flowers,

The real beauty is within me."

Wealth of Health

With these words that I leave,

I demand pain and sickness leave.

And as I bask in light of candle green,

I pray for health I've longed to be seen.

So with a sip of chamomile tea,

This cast is complete, and health is with me.

So, I actually planned something with this poem and added actual elements for casting.

With this, all you have to do is light a green candle and bask in it's light while drinking chamomile tea.

You can chant this poem during the whole process or just before drinking your tea. But besides that, it's rather easy. Just light a candle, drink some tea, and relax.

Now, in personal experience, I know chamomile tea causes me to be sleepy, so I personally suggest doing this as a nightly ritual...which also helps with keeping a steady sleep schedule in and of itself.

However, it's your time to cast...so if you don't want to do this at night, any other time is fine too. Just remember to blow the candle out once everything is said and done.

This is Not Written By Me

A fellow acquaintance of mine called @caliciferwolf actually wrote this casting poem, and with permission, decided to share it.

When your mind are hazy,

And things seem bleak.

When your heart feels lazy,

With these words I repeat;

To clear your heart and mind with ease,

I strengthen the bond between you and your mate, may there be glee.

Your relationship will be strong, that your troubles may appease .

I seal this intent, so mote it be.

It's a really great casting poem for when there is a bit of trouble in your relationship, and you need to help clear your mind and to strengthen your bond.
