#witchcraftlessons of the day is this: Your Space and Spirit Work. While some witches choose to work alone, some choose to work with spirits. It can be in a handful of ways: be it divining with them, drawing to/upon your ancestors, or forming a bond with them. It is important to set ground rules and understand the rules you have to follow. This is where protection magic would come handy. Not all spirits are malicious, not all "nice" spirits are well, nice. In anything you do, you need to sure respect is the foundation of your work with these beings. If you don't respect their space, if you're in it, then your word nor your space will be respected. If you want your hearth to be spirit-free it is always important to cleanse (usually sage, Palo Santo, or cedar sage bundles work best), very respectfully and firmly ask any beings to leave out an open door, ground yourself briefly to give it time to leave, then shut the door and "seal" all thresholds w/the Palo Santo/sage. You can say an incantation, you don't have to. I do all windows, doorways, and any threshold that slightly looks like a doorway. From the bottom right corner up, across the top to the left, down the left side, then from the left corner to the right corner. "Of fire, water, air, and earth--cleanse, dismiss, dispell." Then I usually use the smoke and draw a rune over the door. The rune is your choice. As always, follow your gut and do what you know is right. Always be cautious, and always protect yourself and your loved ones. Happy witching, kittens. . . . . . . . . . #witch #craft #witchesofinstagram #pagan #occult #hedgewitch #spiritwork #magic #cleanse #ritual
