"Chains" (From Geralt at Witcherreborn)
| Chains | @witcherreborn
Myrkr had lost counting days. He was chained to the wall for so long he forgot how warmth felt like. His cell had no windows, and he was blindfolded anyway; darkness, just as pain, had been his only friends.
They kept asking the same questions: where did he come from, how did he come here, how can one enter his world, and so on. And he replied each and every question, honestly, more and more desperate as the days and weeks passed.
He attempted to escape. Once. So they put a collar around his neck with a very special gem in it, to stop him using his powers, and tortured him for hours and hours, without a question, without mercy, for that one attempt.
Then the regular schedule was back. Questions and more pain. They regularly cleaned him up; tossing him in a room of cold water, pushing his head under it, throwing his body and breaking it in unbelievable ways, only for him to heal back up within a few hours so they could start it again. He refused to eat, but they forced it down his throat. Myrkr had only one wish left: to die.
Once again, he could hear heavy footsteps approaching his cell. His chains sung quietly as he started to shake, and a desperate whine left him as he cried in his blindfold.
"Please no, no, no..." His voice went higher and higher with his sobs. "I told you everything... please, please no..."
He didn't know anyone here; he had no hope of escaping. Breathing shallow, he braced himself to hear the door of his cell open, and tried to prepare for the inevitable torture.
