Hello friend! I hope you're doing well.
I've been working with "Arcana Restored" to make something to charge talismans and amulets and I so far have a basic idea. I also used the whole Ayleid lore where they used starlight as a spiritual energy which means I now need to make a bowl with the constellations on the standing stones but now I have another issue.
What do I use to channel energy from Aetherius? The book mentions gold and that could colloidal gold or an actual piece of it but if I'm working on the Ayleid Praxis, especially with the whole Magnus and the Magna Ge rending holes where allows Magicka to flow into the world, then should I rather use something like a crystal?
Ooo, a thing to ponder! Sorry this took so long to get to, I was not doing well for a while there, but I'm back in business, baby!
You know, I always saw the Welkynd Stones as being analogous to clear quartz for those of us not in Nirn. For me, I've found that clear quartz is helpful for both generating and storing raw magic energy, just like the Welkynd Stones store Magicka. Even the formations of them remind me of quartz points!
In-universe, however, Welkynd Stones are made of meteoric glass. And when a meteorite hits the ground in our world, sometimes they will make things like Libyan desert glass. If you don't have access to meteorite-made glass, perhaps normal glass may also suffice? And as you said, gold is another option thanks to the book mentioning it.
So many possibilities! Thanks to my own experiences with clear quartz, I'd probably lean towards trying that first, but you'll have to let me know how your own experiments go!

I just made a witches bottle from and old pill bottle for my bipolar medication and let me tell you.
It is not aesthetic at all.
But it feels so incredibly powerful
🌊 Sea-Magick’s Witch’s Bottle 🌊
The history of the Witch’s Bottle is long and intriguing but for brevity understand it is one of the strongest protection spells in a Witches arsenal. Listed here is my brew but the ingredients can and should be personalized.
Ingredients:
Ashes (Destruction of my enemies)
Black Salt (Protection from negativity)
Sugar (Kindness, reward)
Clover Flowers (My friends support)
Coffee Grounds (Energy and success)
Crushed Acorn (Protection and luck)
Seashells (Sea worship, guidance)
A Dead Wasp (Pain to my enemies)
Dog Tooth (Hunting and pursuit)
Spit (This is mine)
White and Black Candle (Protection)
Fortune Cookie with something you love on it
Steps:
Add granular and crushed components to bottle.
Add whole components.
Spit into the bottle.
Seal with white and then black wax.
Secure Fortune to bottle with wax.
Hide the bottle somewhere dark and away such as a basement or attic and forget about it. It will do it’s work.
Things such as iron nails, fingernails, hair, vinegar, and blood are traditionally used for this spell bottle but I have substituted these items. If you don’t have the ingredients or the time to make this bottle, like to charge and reblog to cast.
I have VERY NORMAL Monday plans that DO NOT involve peeing in a jar.
Mushroom Polymer Potion Bottle 🍄🌿
Unbaked, but after making this I thought it was cool.
✨🌞Spiritual strenght jar spell 🌞✨
Ingradients:
✨Sea salt - protection, cleansing, absorbs all negativity
✨Lavender - purification, peace
✨Cinnamon - spirituality, psychic powers
✨Ginger - success, power
✨Glitter - illumination, enlightment, radiance
You could also create a sigil to empower your spell and charge it under sunlight or using tiger's eye stone. Here's the sigil I created for this spell:
Also it's my first jar spell and I kinda failed with sealing it with candle wax, so I used cotton wool instead.
