It’s interesting that “The Witch of York” aka Mother Shipton (I had heard the name but didn’t know much) appears to be a 16-17th C example of the political and profit-hungry jumping on the witchy bandwagon to increase their power and sell their stuff!
Plus her biographers seem responsible for some unflattering perceptions of witch-beauty...
