Apparently there’s a cow/calf moose pair up by my house?
Welp.
Today I was standing on a porch waiting for someone to answer the door and I heard crackling in the woods behind me. Heavy-footed crackling. Instantly, I was like, “Hmm. Back to the car.”
Got back to the car and a couple minutes later a dude pops out of a different house and says, “Whoa. Y’know there’s a bear right there, eh?”
Oh, also five minutes later we’re driving down the road and there’s the crack of a gunshot. Then like, a couple seconds later, the bear runs down across the road in front of us.
Also I have seen like ten bears in the five days we’ve been here.
Bears everywhere.
