Odysseus perks up at the sound; so familiar and yet so forgotten among the miles traveled on open sea. He no longer needs to sit upon the ship his men row, as his tail had been returned to him for a while now. So, instead, he had been resting on his back among the waves, hoping the gentle rise and fall would ease his mind. However, he still had to keep pace with the ship, and the peace never lasted long.
"Polites..?" the siren calls, hopeful despite the worry of his once strong mind faltering under the guilt of his best friend's light being snuffed out. He sits up and looks around, trying to spot a glimpse of the figure he missed.
