I have a really crazy idea that will never come to fruition but it would be HILLARIOUS and SO MUCH ANGST!
So Adrien is showing signs that he's beginning to bend under the pressure. He's not disclosed his secret to anyone. He's been good about keeping secrets. He's been through as much crap as Marinette if not more.
He doesn't feel like he can trust Ladybug. He may question telling Nino with how quickly Nino turned around to tell him (he's having trust issues). But he NEEDS to talk to someone.
He goes through his friends. Who would understand? Who could keep a secret? Who would be trustworthy?
Right. Marinette.
So Adrien susses it out and is like "ok I can trust her and I'm going to lose my mind and she's one of my best friends and she likes Chat as a friend so it should work???" So he goes over to her one day and asks if they can talk later. He needs help with something. She, of course, is there for him.
They meet up and Adrien spills. He's Chat. He's freaking out. He doesn't know who to trust because it feels like his friends are hiding things or not able to hold their tongues. He's beginning to break.
And this leads to all sorts of Chaos because Marinette is Ladybug. What does she do??? Does she reveal her identity to him? But he's frustrated with Ladybug? But he didn't turn to Nino? She may not know about Alya and Nino situation but Adrien can just be like "Nino spilled someone else's secret to me and he's my best friend but you don't do that." She can't even be mad because he's going through the same shit as her and is doing exactly what she did and made her promise not to tell. Like... WHAT DOES SHE DO?
So this is then a BIGGER disaster because there is SO MUCH ANGST ready to bubble over. Marinette wants to tell Alya but is haunted by Adrien telling her that Nino spilled someone else's secret. Adrien wants to be happy but still feels guilty because he broke the golden rule (even though Ladybug did so first). ANGST!
(And for the funny - Gabriel AKA Hawkmoth is feeling just SO MUCH ANGST at his son's school which is normal but because of the protective properties of the Miraculous he can't figure out WHO it's coming from. There's a very confused butterfly above the school feeling scrambled)
