"You don't mind, do ya?" Colt didn't wait for an answer as he slid onto the free seat opposite of the rather familiar woman. "Place is too damn full. Figured no one was gonna take this spot, anyway." Not that he wouldn't save sat opposite of Chuck even without the lunch rush around them. The bustling of people looking for good food, lining up at the counter or chattering away at tables about the kind of flowers they liked for their garden or how this girl did or didn't get married, whatever crap people talked about.
The food was enough of a reason to come to this place, even when it was full. The people here another one. "Good to see ya again, Chuckles. I thought I was gonna find ya here." Colt drawled, flashing a grin as he eyes the room for the waitstaff. Busy with some family coming in for a birthday brunch or whatever. Fucking hell. Colt's attention flickered back towards Chuck - the woman promised more entertainment.
It wasn't by far their first meeting - both of them regular visitors of this diner, as far as Colt could tell. Easy food that was cheap and quick enough after whatever shift of a shitjob you worked sounded appealing to almost everybody in Burnington. And fuck, if it didn't draw in some entertaining people, too. Chuck being one of them - one whose personal bubble Colt enjoyed relentlessly prodding and biting at. Dinner entertainment. "How are ya holding up, Chuckles? Still kickin'? Ya don't mind if I put my food on your tab, do ya?"
