it's become somewhat of a routine throughout the years, this little game of theirs, to the point that jiseok can no longer find it within himself to mind. the formal suit he wears is uncomfortable but not as bad as some of the stage outfits he's grown accustomed to, and he knows that the tension in the atmosphere of a restaurant as fancy as this one will be broken once his 'date' arrives – there are few things his father asks of him that are as easy as this.
since they can't afford to be seen in the same car without risking rumors that could give their parents even more reason to pressure them into submission, he waits inside but doesn't get seated – simply watches the door like he supposes an eager date would. “milady,” he greets her as soon as he sees her enter, bowing in a rather overdone gesture for the occasion and he does little to hide the smirk the silliness of it all conjures. with practiced ease, he moves to help her out of her jacket – he doesn't get very many chances to poke fun at this lifestyle his parents expect him to lead with someone who understands, so he tries to make full use of the opportunity. “it's an honor to dine with you once more.” each word is laced with a saccharine sweetness they both know doesn't fit him in the least. it's overdone. ironic. wrong – and that's the whole purpose.
