ᴡʜᴏ: LIVINIA CRANE & AURORA HEAVENSBEE ( @gladiatefm ) ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ: THE TRIBUTE TOWER, LIVINIA'S ROOM ᴡʜᴇɴ: POST-TRIBUTE INTERVIEWS
By the time the elevators had finally started working again, there was nothing Livinia had wanted more than to return to her quarters in the tribute tower and go to bed. There was only so long even she could pretend – only so long she could put on a careful smile and act as though everything was fine, act as though the last few days had not destroyed her, both mentally and physically. Act as though the last time she'd slept was long before the tribute ball – and act as though every time she closed her eyes, she wasn't confronted with the room where she'd been tortured, or her mother's lifeless corpse, or the sound of her brother's screams.
Livinia isn't expecting any visitors after she locks the door to her apartment in the tower. In fact, she's already changed out of her gown and into a set of soft, cotton pyjamas when there's a knock at the door. For a moment, she's furious – storming over to the door in a huff ( though her slippers barely make a sound against the hardwood floors ), and then she's terrified – worrying that a peacekeeper will be waiting on the other side, waiting to drag her away again for further 'questioning'.
She braces herself for a couple of seconds, leaning her head against the door and breathing slowly – before she finally opens it. Surprised would be a mild way to describe how she feels – and she stands in the doorway, slack-jawed, for a few moments too long at the sight of AURORA HEAVENSBEE. "Rory," She says quietly – a nickname she hasn't used in a long time. "What... what are you doing here?"
