i'm thinking about creating a fanfic blog on tumblr so i can post old and new fanfiction over here with a comprehensive tagging system. idk what do you guys think? should i do it?

Your turn, lady! POV and LAST

I have too many ‘current projects’. Side-eyes WIPs.

POV — something that’s already happened, retold from another character’s perspective

"He stared at his phone so hard he had to blink rapidly a moment later.

That didn’t happen. It couldn’t have happened. There is no way something like that would ever happen.

And yet…

With his heart thudding maddeningly in his chest he called her back, and cursed under his breath when he reached her voice mail. Cutting the line, he called her again, and again, and again, his muttering curses getting louder with each passing second because she has to answer him goddamnit!

He then resorted to texting her as he paced the small length of his college dorm room, only to sit and stare at his phone as he waited for a reply. Back stiff, he couldn’t stop his hand running nervously through his hair or his leg from bouncing before he cursed her in every way he knew how until he thought to hell with it.

“Damnit, Lydia!”

He had a lecture in ten minutes, but he just didn’t care. Grabbing his keys and his wallet, he pocketed his phone and stormed out of the dorm, almost tripping over his own feet to get to her.

He was determined to reach her even if he had to run through every freakin’ red light.

Did she really say those three words? Did she really say them to him? Had they landed in some alternative universe where she actually meant what she said? What if it wasn’t meant for him? What if he was going all the way to meet her and she never said it to him?

Groaning at his own stupidity, Stiles quickened his pace and practically ran to where his jeep was parked.

At this point, even if it would hurt him, he had to know.”

Talk to me about Maleficent. I take it you liked it? So many smiley tags ;)

I LOVED IT. Sleeping Beauty is my fave fave fave Disney movie and Maleficent is actually one of my favourite female characters of all time she's just so EVIL AND BADASS AND DOESN'T TAKE ANY SHIT LIKE DREAM TBH.

I've wanted a Maleficent movie since I was 4 so I've been waiting a longggggg time for this AND IT DIDN'T DISAPPOINT. I got some complaints obviously (i don't want to get into ~spoilers rn unless you really want to hear) but I still really liked it!!! It wasn't entirely what I expected (nor exactly what I wanted tbh but that's okay), especially since only hours before I saw it I read some not-so-great reviews and I was like "if this is disappointing I'm for sure going to cry" because I WAITED BASICALLY 16 YEARS FOR THIS SIRIUS BLACK AIN'T GOT SHIT ON ME. But it was good and I liked that it respected the original movie/fairytale but still made it its own like you go Maleficent (also the ~twist is essentially a fic I made up when I was 4 lololol that didn't hurt my like for this movie at all)

So yeah I liked and I'm seeing it again this weekend and fuckk yeah son

i’m going to do both because Peter/MJ are my darlings

big spoon/little spoon: i’m pretty sure MJ is the big spoon or often than not and omg that’s adorable.favorite non-sexual activity: when Peter isn’t ~fighting crime, they have extremelyyyy lazy days, like stay in their pyjamas all day watching shit tv (i feel like they’d sorta be into reality shows esp Keeping Up with the Kardashians???) and eating things with their hands because it’s no time for cutlery and like they never leave the damn couch so Peter uses his spiderwebs to get things. they love these days a lotwho uses all the hot water: MJ (though sometimes it’s Peter because he needs a long shower after a rough day and she joins him and just hugs him and it’s so sad i’m not even thinking of anything in particular but just picturing this is making me sad)most trivial thing they fight over: though MJ likes the webs on lazy days, it gets on her nerves a lot when she’s like “Peter hand me that towel” and he flings it at her from his working area and she’s just like “I SAID HAND IT YOU IDIOT.” also it sometimes gets on her nerves when he takes a lot of pictures of her. Peter gets annoyed when MJ wants to be ~social with friends and go to parties and stuff he’s just like “MY BEST FRIEND IS MY WORST ENEMY WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT” and whines and moans all the way there and yeah they’re basically old marriedswho does most of the cleaning: MJ, though she makes Peter clean up his own mess, doesn’t give a fuck about the web slinging thenwhat has a season pass on their dvr/who controls the netflix queue: PETER lmao what a nerdwho calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working: MJ, after Peter’s many failed attemptswho steals the blankets: Peter always steals them first so in the middle of the night MJ steals them back so he always says she’s the one who steals the blankets, not him as he doesn’t actually remember stealing them in the first placewho leaves their stuff around: Peter god you mess potwho remembers to buy the milk: MJ (*cries the eggs in TASM*)who remembers anniversaries: they both got good memories for this kind of thing, but it’s usually Peter, despite everyone’s surprise but he always remembers the big things.

how often do they fight?: hardly. just a few scraps here and there, nothing ~big.what do they do when they’re away from each other?: well Peter’s Spidey, so. also he works on his gadgets and stuff because he’s such a nerd. MJ goes out with friends mostly because she’s an independent woman.nicknames for each other?: TIGER, MR. PARKER. LEGS, MS. WATSON. CANON Y’ALL AND IT’S BEAUTIFUL.who is more likely to pay for dinner?: Peter, though MJ insists on paying sometimes because she wants to show that she’s not dependent on himwho steals the covers at night?: answered abovewhat would they get each other for gifts?: MJ would either get him like a really good camera/gadget to help with his Spidey career (or just a really cool gadget for fun) or some Spiderman merchandise and laugh in his face while he opened it (he has a whole shelf covered in these and he loves them all). Peter would either get her some really pretty jewelry or make her some sort of collage of all the pictures he took of her/their selfies together (and she cries at itttt omg they’re so in love)who kissed who first?: FACE IT, TIGER…YOU JUST HIT THE JACKPOT. MJ did ofc she did what a girlllllwho made the first move?: MJ!!!!who remembers things?: as mentioned above, Peter remembers the bigger things more than the smaller things while MJ is more balanced with these things so she’ll remember the eggs and that it’s their 2nd year anniversary, while Peter will only remember the anniversary part.who started the relationship?: MJ rock it girlwho cusses more?: MJ lmaowhat would they do if the other one was hurt?: Peter would go BERZERK as we know and will go after whatever fucking villain did and get his fucking revenge (he will not lose MJ like Gwen he will not). MJ will soothe and take care of Peter, trying to hide her anxiety but once she’s gone from his side she would find out the villain’s identity and make them burn

That's the thing about canon: it's already been done. Officially. And while I'm on board with imagining the missing moments with those people, it's so much less inspiring for me and my muse. Fic is the perfect place to *really* experiment.

I must admit, I really like that about shipping mainly non-canon pairings. And the canon pairings I have written have always been in non-canon situations, so again there is scope to experiment and change things.

there's gotta be fic out there á la AU: neville kills bellatrix... (right?? there must be)

i hope there is. somewhere in the vast, vast, vast piles of HP fic there's got to be one where neville actually gets his revenge. i can't however say if it's written well as, well, HP fic is a lot of hit and miss.
