Hunith hummed a tuneless song as she added more dried vegetables to the stew over the fire. Her supply of dried foods from the autumn's harvest was beginning to run low, but once the spring plants began growing, Hunith was certain she would be alright. A knock at the door made her jump, and she called out, "Come in!" without looking away from the stew. She assumed it was one of the neighbors coming to gossip.

She was a bit confused, to say the least. She could remember the throne room being stormed, her guards falling as they attempted to protect her. She'd been lifted, taunted and something had descended upon her--a great darkness, and she'd awoken in the forest of a place unknown to her. Now, she'd found her way into what seemed to be a market square, but nothing was familiar to her. Already, Zelda knew that this wasn't where she belonged. The glances that people were giving her with enough of a clue to that.
"Excuse me," she spoke as she strode up to the young man, her tone pleasant. "I seem to have gotten myself lost, would you be so kind as to help me find my way?"

It's All About Control - witheyesofgold & amonsterofnightmare
The transformation was painful, it always was and always would be. The bones stretching and shaping themselves to accommodate her larger form was the worst part. Her shrieks would bounce off the trees and rocks surrounding her as she collapsed onto the ground each night, but none of that mattered when the shift from human to beast was complete.
The only thing that mattered then was the insatiable urge to kill.
That's why when the beast's large eyes scanned the darkened forest around her, she couldn't help but notice the boy wandering around on his own. If she'd remain in this state of mind even when she was human again, she might even say that everything that happened next was his fault. Who would walk around in the forest at night and expect not to be attacked?
She was quiet as she made her way towards him, her ears flicking this way and that to try and catch any sound, any hint that anyone else was around. She preferred killing in private, it brought less attention and allowed her to enjoy her victory to the fullest. Though a group could always bring some satisfaction as well.
The Bastet's wings were tucked close to her form, her head held low and her belly almost pressed to the ground. She was stalking him, not making anything close to a sound as she moved closer and closer. She could already feel the adrenaline starting to rush through her as she poised herself, ready to pounce--
Snap.
Even her own ears pricked up at that, and it took her a moment to realize that she was the cause of the twig breaking beneath one of her paws. There wasn't time to waste, then. It was now or never, or the boy might just decide to run.
Uncaring of the noise she made now, she launched herself from the cover of bushes and trees and straight towards him. Claws out, fangs bared and eyes without remorse as she went in for the kill.
