“You can tell me all about how tired you aren’t while I carry you to bed.”
“I’m not that tired, Gueira.” Crossing his arms, Lio was leaning against the wall behind him. “Even if I were, you’re not carrying me when I can walk myself.” Really, Lio was exhausted. His day had been so hectic and filled to the brim, that he hadn’t even ate lunch. His dinner had been mandatory since he had to speak to the new Governor and her posse. At least he hadn’t had to pay.
Purple and grey bags under his normally vibrant violet eyes, they now appeared dull. Continuing to be the leader for the Burnish Refugees in the city as well as trying to help them all integrate into their new lives meant his to do list never ended.
“Can we just walk already?” Lio didn’t want to stand outside this restaurant anymore.
