1. When did you first play Final Fantasy?

I first played Final Fantasy around the time FFVII came out. It was the first FF I ever played with my brother and I have to say I’ve been hook on the series for life!

2. How many games in the series have you played?

I’ve played 12 different ones! :D

3. Which game do you love/hate most? Why?

I’m bias towards nine. Nine was the first FF game I was actually able to beat so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart. I thought it had an interesting set of different characters like Freya and Eiko and Vivi.

4. Who is your favourite/least favourite character?

It’s a toss up between Freya and Hope. Obviously my my url, Hope is my favorite XIII character, but Freya is my absolutely favorite IX character. I can’t choose between them!

5. Which game would you recommend a newbie play first?

Oi, probably nine. Although I started out with VII there were too many simple parts in it that I literally needed my brother to help me with (and that’s only because I couldn’t fall at the right time for that stupid swinging rope thing.) Nine is pretty straight forward and easy enough that people won’t need a guide unless they want 100%!

6. Do you think any of the games have changed your life?

I think these were the games that first started bringing me and my brother closer to one another. I’m the middle child of seven children and out of my six siblings, I’m closer to my brother than I am the others. We played the games together. We beat them together. We got 100% completion together. That’s the positive way they’ve changed me.

7. Which game is the easiest? Which one is the hardest?

The easiest for me was nine. The hardest? Fricking Tactics. Tactics was easy at some parts, but I never leveled up enough for certain parts. I kept getting stuck at certain parts no matter how often I restarted. My brother got it for me when it was only for the playstation and I bought it for myself when it was rereleased as War of The Lions. I beat that last year or so.

8. What is your “dream team” for battles?

For nine, it’s always Zidane, Garnet, Freya, and whoever I feel like. Seven it’s usually Cloud, Vincent, and Red XIII. For Thirteen, it’s ALWAYS Hope, Lightning, and Fang.

9. Have you ever wanted to make a game like Final Fantasy?

When I was younger, I use to make ideas! I would have battle systems and characters and a plot. They’re all gone now, lost in memory or floppy discs I’ll never see again.

10. What is/are your OTP(s)?

I only have a few. I fucking LOVE BalthierxFran. FangxVanille (whether as friendship or romantic, it doesn’t matter). And ZidanexGarnet. uwu

I still call nine for the best storyline. I honestly don’t have a worse preference for the FF games…. Ha ha…

Ok, but battle system, I kinda like eight’s a bit more than the others. Kinda.

Honestly, as you can see, I’ve never had a negative experience with any of the FF games. Like, sure, there were games that I just couldn’t beat, but that’s not really negative? That just means the next time I play them has to have my 100% attention and training!

Honestly? Hmmmmmmmm, I’d like to see a sequel of Tactics. With Ramza and Delita.

Hey…. All FF games are unique and awesome. I love them all. uwu

Seven could get knocked down it’s pedestal and give any other game another try…. 

31. Should be made into a movie/tv series/book/manga?

I think five would make an awesome anime or manga! :D

I’ve played Kingdom Hearts and I would like to try The World Ends With You. :D

At the moment, Final Fantasy and Harvest Moon are taking over my life! They are my favorite. uwu

35. Which FF characters should appear in Kingdom Hearts 3?

I want Vincent to be in it! I don’t care if they gave Cloud a Vincent-esque look in KH1. I want Vincent and Freya! Especially Freya.

Gran Pulse would be cool.

I haven’t seen anything bad, really… I hear stories but because I don’t go through the FF tags often, I’m safe from all the bad things… And I love the theories I see in the nine tag whenever they show up. uwu

39. Which FF world would you want play in as an MMO?

Oooooh, Tactics as an MMO would be cool. :D

I do! My brother counts, right? We’re anxiously awaiting Lightning Returns!

41. Have you cried at the end of any of the games?

I did. I totally did. On Tactics and a bit on Twelve.

42. Which FF world would you want to live in?

Twelve’s world would be interesting. I really liked how it looked and there were places where I just loved to constantly be around and take in the surroundings~.

43. Which FF job class would you want to be?

A dragoon would be cool! Or a summoner… Or a white mage! 8D

44. Did you like the Final Fantasy movie?

Spirits Within? I really did not. It was cool, but wasn’t my cup of tea.

45. Did you like the Final Fantasy anime?

That’s the one where the guy summoned with the gun right? I saw it a long time ago and I liked it! I would like to see it again one day. ;w;

It’s 21°C where I live and I feel like I’m freezing :/

It's 6°c here apparently, and the cold drizzle plus wind blowing against you makes it feel worse :x But I pushed throughhh \o/ I'm right on the coast too. I live only 3 streets back and then it's open to the sea. I mostly cycle along the front beside the coast road.

How did it change your perspectives on video games? Just curious :)

Hm, I think mainly because I hadn't played many games beforehand, and therefore had a very small amount of knowledge about games and gaming as a whole. Back then gaming was much less of a big public thing, I didn't have many friends, and I didn't have the internet. Not at all at that point I don't think. I think that was possibly before we even had the noisy dial-up (I remember the first thing I ever downloaded on that was a Final Fantasy VIII image, when I was completely new to the concept of being able to download images and was like wao - you can do this? - there's Final Fantasy VIII stuff on here??). So my only knowledge of gaming and game genres was my own experience, which at the time was limited to only Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros. 3, Double Dragon III, Tomb Raider II and III and a bit of Gran Turismo.  I hadn't heard of Final Fantasy at all. This was also the first time I had heard of "Role-Playing games", and didn't actually know what that meant. I remember being at a friend's house and watching them play a bit of Metal Gear Solid. I don't remember which part - it might even have been a demo. But I found it really weird and new that it had cutscenes and sections that were like on rails. I was like wat, this is more like a film, why aren't you completely controlling it, it's a video game. The only cutscenes I'd ever seen were the rare little ones between levels in Tomb Raider II and III. Those two Tomb Raiders were the only knowledge of games having a story that I had at that point. That's it. Then I played Final Fantasy VIII and was blown away, because it was so different, so immersive, so epic, and so story-driven. And it had such a wonderfully imagined and implemented world that I loved. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before. And it was so beautiful, compared to any game I'd seen before. Those pre-rendered backgrounds still are gorgeous and amazing. Also, Tomb Raiders 2 and 3 have hardly any music in them. Only tiny, short bits that usually make you shit your pants because you think some shit's gonna go down - and it probably is. So other than that the only game music I was used to was from the NES, with Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3, and Double Dragon 3. So I was suddenly greeted by this masterpiece of a Nobuo Uematsu score throughout the game, on top of everything else. It was mindblowing. It really broadened my mind on genres of games, how videogames can be art, and how they can have such an in-depth story and characters, and how you can connect with them on a deep level. That's how it changed my perspective on videogames. Other than that, simply put, I connected with it so much because how I was and felt at the time I played it. I related to Squall on a deep level, and other than it being a world that I loved and wished I could be a part of, with great characters and a well-written story that evoked a lot of feelings, that's why it became so important to me.
