No digital art for the next week or so!

And yeah I'll be totally fine without access to digital art, my main hobby and thing that gives me joy and worth, don't even worry about it haha :)

#i'm going on a trip to visit my favorite cousin #but I won't have wifi and don't want to risk damaging my drawing tablet (more than I already have...)#so... no digital art..... yay.........#i'll be fine... probably #i can still write and draw traditionally #and it's perfectly fine that this happens while I'm trying to do a ton of pride month art and still have owed art for other people #and need to prepare for artfight and have several species refs that just need illustrations and #don't have this month's mortalis page even STARTED and have 2 important paintings to do before the summer's over and #yeah I'm sure this'll be fine #gods I can already feel myself unravelling #i'm nothing without my art and little sketches aren't enough #fuuuuuuck #nope #we're gonna be doing lots of fun things #without a break #and i'm totally not going to get tired and burnt out in the first two days #this'll be great #shit fuck no ah #of course I don't panic until the night before I leave #i'm excited but I know I'm gonna fuck it up ahhhhh #it's fine #stop overthinking it #not overthinking ir's the right amount of thinking the #they're accurate predictions because I know my brain #i'm literally the character in a TV show that CAN'T take a break/vacation because it just makes them MORE STRESSED #and I've been looking forward to this all year #ugh #i'll be fine #just need to sleep it off

I’m doing general reading for my dissertation at the moment, which will definitely be something to do with the intersection between Medieval French study and queer studies and I am SO EXCITED.

#i would definitely do bullet point tumblr rants about queer representation in medieval texts if that was something people were interested in #who am i kidding i would definitely do it anyway #and no kidding i talked for forty minutes #my mum who is a writer once woke me up to ask me if there was any evidence for queer relationships in medieval romance #without a break #went from zero to sixty in three point five #musings on a dissertation #the article i read was called Why Men Still Aren't Enough incidentally #and it talked really comprehensively about recent queer study in relation to medieval texts and where the gaps were and how we should start #to fill them #was worth its weight in gold i swear
