CONTEST ALERT! This International day for biological diversity, Wildlife Research and Conservation Foundation (WRCF) in collaboration with Kashmir Photography Club (KPC) presents Kashmir's 1st wildlife photography contest ‘Wild Frames’. Cash prizes worth Rs. 50,000 to be won HOW TO PARTICIPATE: 1. Submit your entries using hashtag #withwildJK pertaining to one of the following themes: i. Wild animals in their natural habitat. (No shots from zoos/ enclosures will qualify) ii. Birds in action iii. Insects (whole insect should be visible in one frame) 2. All entries must belong to JAMMU AND KASHMIR ONLY. Images shot outside the region will not be entertained. 3. The theme starts today, 22nd May and ends on 22nd June. 4. You can post one image per day if you're posting on our Facebook group. There is no limit for posts per day on Twitter and Instagram. 5. Include the place name where the picture was taken. 6. Provide a short description along with the photo. 7. Best images of the day will be featured on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) handles of WRCF with credits given to photographer. 7. The winner will be announced at the end of the theme. Once the contest is over, the entries will be submitted to the jury of eminent photographers and experts after two rounds of screening. 9. Top 50 entries will receive certificates and winners will be awarded with cash prize. 1st prize 7000, 2nd prize 5000, 3rd prize 3000 for each Category. Apart from top three prizes, 5 consolation prizes worth 1000 will also be given. 10. Entries will also be considered for publication in an upcoming issue of WRCF magazine and will be featured on organisers website too (with due credits).
