Wittin was the leader of a particularly aggressive Jawa clan on Tatooine with ties to Jabba the Hutt’s criminal empire. He led his clan with ruthless efficiency, attacking settlers and stealing for profit. A few years after his sandcrawler was destroyed by stormtroopers in their search for C-3PO and R2-D2, he entered Jabba’s demolition games with a remote control battle droid on a STAP. Wittin was present in Jabba’s palace and accompanied him on his sail barge after he captured and planned on executing Luke Skywalker and his friends, working with Jabba on a plan to take control of a rival’s land.
