it’s so bonkers to me that generation loss’s commentary is regarding the toxicity surrounding streaming and the “show must go on” mentality and doing anything for viewers when you have the meta-context that during the first episode ranboo was getting actively injured by a malfunctioning wire, but continued on anyway

like SHES SO LITTLE. she’s so young in the clone wars and when you’re 12 watching the animated show and she’s voiced by an adult you don’t notice but then you see her in the live action show and she’s like. 13-14. and played by an actor that’s that age. and its like holy fuck
every now and again i’m like “i surely have autism, but i’ve never noticed myself doing the copying speech thing” and then i will have an interaction with someone where the NPC dialogue just spills out of me
actually now that i’m thinking about that last rb, i think what i want for the wood types is to be able to either go one “darker” or one “lighter” for each one. like sunbleaching (works a bit like copper oxidization) goes a colour lighter and staining goes a colour darker. that way you can get WAY more colours, but still have to get the different variations. like for example
warped wood -> turquoise
sun-bleached warped wood -> green
stained warped wood -> blue
or
crimson wood -> purple/red
sun-bleached crimson wood -> lighter purple/red (don’t wanna step into orange cause that’s what mangrove would do)
stained crimson wood -> deep purple/red
god watching the syndicate finale stream has given me literally SO many ideas for a syndicate ending continuation au i am literally bursting at the seams
ive never really posted my dsmp au stuff before (or really done Anything of this sort on tumblr either) so here’s just a bunch of snippets of ideas that i have:
the End is like. a super developed society since it’s essentially been safe-guarded from player interference. meaning there are very varied and large end cities and fleets. the dragon island is a large shrine/temple. there are lots of blocks/items/crops from other dimensions bc the council has had a hand in taking small pieces and preserving them in green-houses and such
the arrival of phil, niki, and ghonner causes a HUGE fucking stir because they are the first players in a long time to show up. luckily mumza smooths it over with the ender dragon, but the group is limited to the main temple island and a few barren ones nearby
mumza essentially fused ghostboo and ranboo back together and shoved them back into their hastily revived body and said “get michael. go to the nether. now.” and he was like “yes ma’am, right away ma’am”
most of everyone who was in the overworld on the main server at the time of the nuke is dead, however: 1) ghosts can’t die unless their being revived, and 2) people being dead makes ghosts. i’m retconning all the bullshit death lore given by cdream in tommy’s finale because he’s a power hungry dickhead and he can go fuck himself because he was actually just straight up wrong about the whole thing. moving on.
instead, i’m not quite sure how the canon egg lore is going, but in my mind the radiation from the nuke infected it so now it has consumed the ghosts of the people who have died in the nuke explosion. that’s right. season 2 of dsmp is just an egg fever dream. it’s not real and it can’t hurt you
the plot would surround the reconnection of the survivors across dimensions, with friendly endermen passing messages (and maybe even tech) between the syndicate (and also eventually quackity and slime in the bunkers in las nevadas, and wilbur in utah)
then there might also be plans of the recovery of the players who where nuked, like tubbo, tommy, jack and others from the major dsmp, and save them in a similar fashion that kristin did for ranboo (it may be copium but listen. this is how cbeeduo/cclingy/cloyalduo can still win. the niki-tubbo-tommy trio from pogtopia-era. do you see my vision)
i’ll probably make more concise ideas, and maybe even snippets later but mmmmmmmm
