Hisirdoux’s response was almost as easy as breathing, and came just as naturally, as he mumbled back without thinking, “I love you too, Arch. Now--” and then he paused, and glanced sharply at his friend. “Wait, really?” He asked, as a smile broke out across his face. 

“I know I just said it, apparently, but I-- well, I meant it. I love you too, Archie.” He held open his arms, offering the dragon a hug. “And I always will.”

“Touching it is not the same as eating it! I’d taken over half the fridge I needed to move them for my left overs and make sure the smell didn’t start infusing again!”

14: a hug where one muse uses the other as a pillow (@wizards-associate)

“Scooch over, Arch,” she says, cup and book in hand. She uses a foot to shove a pillow to the side and squeezes onto the other side of the small couch. The familiar doesn’t answer, not that she’d really been expecting him to. He appears to be asleep, but it’s hard to tell.

It’s not rare that she crashes the apartment, and this is no exception. Still a bit before Douxie is back from work himself, so she’s made herself some tea and is content to sit and relax. Today hadn’t exactly been a wonderful day. She’ll never really learn to properly deal with angry customers.

She sips the tea, sets her book down. She looks to the familiar dozing peacefully next to her, and gets that human urge to bother him. And a little bit of cat therapy helps anyone.

Zoe buries her face in his flank, wrapping her arms around him and laughing. “Sorry, had to.”
