(cont.) also, there's a bunch of standalone books that don't really require any foreknowledge to just jump into! (actually, the first discworld book i read was one of those) of the standalones, Small Gods and Pyramids are two that i'd reccomend!

If Terry Pratchett can hook me with his magic and/or wizards, I mighttry some other stuff. I mean, he does seem to be quite popular. I also have a ton of other short story collections to get through, so Terry needs to be bring the A game with these magicians! Though I don’t know if he develops stuff in his later books. We’ll have to see...
