now that i think about it wizzmaxing is a perfect ship to write some quite unique religion questioning story. i mean max blunder is not that religious, it feels like most of his life he has just gone along with it, but now that he left the place that he knew as home into the vast and dangerous world the gods just desided to throw themselves on him. like not in a gentle "i will guide you" way, but in a "what you knew and half beleived in for your whole life? well thats half true but there are also politics. you should help me. i am trustworthy" says the god that chose him for some reason, the god max didnt really need, but also? this feels reassuring. but is it really a good idea? may he be blinded? it also makes him think about his past and childhood. and all of that is happening alongside finding a bunch of some new silly friends. and one of those companions seems like the type of guy that doesn't even Need a god. but he is not his own god either. he takes ehat life throws at him and Adapts and survives, and when this fails he tries again.
if we strip off all the silliness, max blunder and mr. wizard are both very interesting characters who hide any of the worries and secrets very deep eithin them. But what if mr. wizard realises that he can share himself and all that comes with this background with another person? and what if mr wizard saves max from diving head first in the amidst of god battles? what if mr. wizard knew some gods personally.
what if its... each other and familliar "human" chaos is what they find comfort in instead. what if they kiss about it
