I've made this joke before (and it only makes sense to me and me in particular lol) but every time i pick "The Roadtrip Heist of The Century" back up i have to laugh at the "there is no war in ba sing se"-ness of it all.

"No, there is nothing wrong in Olympus, why would you even think that? That's so weird? This is just a completely normal and not at all unexpected family roadtrip, it's fun! We should do this more often!- GET AWAY FROM THE PHONE!!- anyways-"

I have so many characters in a fic (wjit) that covers around 10 years of events that i'm gonna have to make a spreadsheet to keep track of everyone's birthdays and ages to avoid moments like this. Where I've been stuck on the same paragraph for 20 minutes trying to calculate how old one of my characters would be at this point.

Why do all my fics always descend into me going insane over the passage of time?
