Man getting actual constructive criticism for the first time in my life is fucking incredible. Like I can improve my writing so much just by knowing minute details that can be clarified or if something is clunky to read, etc. I’m almost done with my first chapter, probably 5-10 more pages depending on how long it takes for the next two interactions to happen. Once it’s done, I’ll do a ‘final’ walkthrough if everything, edit anything I need, and then start on chapter 2!!!!! I love writing so much and I feel like I finally have a purpose in life again. Hell yea

I’m finally editing and adding parts to the 2nd to last section of the first chapter. It’s so difficult to switch from ‘yay two girls and their family lives and woot woot happy stuff mostly’ to ‘this is how capitalism fucked up the world and now it’s better and here’s roughly how that works’.

Can’t wait for the slew of people ripping holes into my made up fictional world that makes me happy. Mmmmm it’s not realistic? Good thing it’s not a historical non fiction then, huh? :) it’s almost like YA fiction doesn’t have to be realistic.

I’m 1/4th of the way to my page goal for my book. Only two chapters in....might end up being multi book series. Really depends on how long it takes to get to the rising action and subsequently the climax. Cause if it’s in the 200 range I’m cutting it off. Well, somewhere between 200-300 I think is a good amount. Also printed paper is bigger than a book....so I have to keep that in mind

I have officially created the doc for chapter 2!!!!! I’ll try to not introduce ten thousand characters in this one; luckily we’ve met basically all of the mains or alluded to them in some way so it’ll just be....hmmm probably one new person, just a mention, and meeting two peeps alluded to earlier. Very exciting stuff. Pls let me know if any of y’all want the link to ch 1 cause I’m v proud of it and will most likely never stop talking about it lololol

I have a whole ass huge binder filled with writing notes and utensils and tiny paper clips and clothes pins, and this whole time I haven’t been looking at my notes, just adding them to the pile. Once I finish these last few paragraphs of Ch 1 I’m gonna go through everything again and see what I need to add, what I can put somewhere else, all that Jazz. Looks like my goal of 30 pages is gonna be met!!!!!!
