Top Dash Moments (TM) Because I Love Them

- Before they even freakin' meet (Josh putting his hand over the imprint Dan leaves in a door)

- Josh recurrently describing and re-describing Dan's face and hands and hair

- Dan recognising the exact colour of Josh's eyes in sunsets

- Generally the semi-telepathic bond of knowing what the other needs with just A Look (chef's kiss)

Colours associated with the Danveol (plus Joshua) because we need some silly goofy stuff to think about!!

Dan: Blue (typical transmasc) but specifically the dark blue hues of the ocean, because that's the colour of Physicality, and also the coloir of his favourite dysphoria hoodie(TM).

Hazel: Gold (her hair always seems a little too golden when she's in the heat of battle) because she's a queen.

Joshua: You'd think red, because of his eyes and hair, or white on account of his Light, but his aura is actually a deep chocolatey brown - the kind of shade that emanates warm cosy vibes.

Charlie: Orange, because it's their favourite fruit, but also because it's both warm/bright and dark/muddy at the same time, just like them.

Dez: Crimson red - ikyky...

Sam: Grey. Solid, stoney grey. Not because it's boring, but because it's neutral. I feel completely neutral about Sam...

Dylan: Pink. He's a pink girlie and you can feel it in his energy.

Lillian/Anna: Yellow! Bright and energetic and pure and can blind you if you look at it wrong!!

Penelope: Purple all the way. Her jump windows are purple, her hair accessories are purple, she'd probably wear purple makeup if she could make it work with her aesthetic.

Tara: Earthy green. No real reason, maybe it's the association with camouflage?

Extended Version

Lauren Green: The kind of pink you'd see in hibiscus petals. Coincidentally, she also likes hibiscus tea.

Lee Arcis: I would say red because I associate them with other speedsters in media like The Flash (DC), but I actually think they'd fit better with a nice mint green to compliment Lauren's light pink.

Riona-Quinn: Teal, the in-between of blues and greens, just like her in-between of being accepted as a Danveol and being othered because she's younger.

Gray: Dark forest green. He also has yellow page colour vibes, like in old printed books.

Max Nichols: This guy is sensible grey all the way through. Not neutral grey like Sam, but the kind of grey everyone expects to see on a 3-piece suit.

Glenn Stone: NOT grey. This guy radiates babygirl pink energy. Old man princess. Hot pink. Bright, hot pink. Think about hot pink, make it brighter. There.

Tom: Warm, mellow kind of woody brown, like an oaky kind of shade. Kind of yellow, kind of brown. Might look like a bathroom accident at the wrong angle. Perfect.

Nicknames for the Danveol

Hazel: Nut (Charlie - Hazel > Hazelnut > Nut), Zelly (parents & Dan), Ma'am (most people she meets post Part 2)

Dan: Dan (most people) Daniel (formal, Josh at first), Danny (Josh ONLY), Shape-Master (the Energies, Majela)

Joshua: Josh (Dan ONLY)

Charlie: Chick (Piper - Hazel and Dan used to call them this but stopped when Piper.... y'know)

Dez: Dez (everyone worthwhile), Destiny (the Energies, lowkey deadnaming tbh), Love (Sam), Prophet (Majela)

Sam: Strongman (Dylan, Charlie), Mr Macho (Hazel), Bastard (Dez, ikyky)

Dylan: Sparky (Charlie, Hazel)

Lillian: Anna (most people), Bookworm (Hazel, Charlie)

Habits of the Danveol (non-exhaustive)

Charlie always cuts their fruit into pieces (one time, they bit into a whole apple and through a worm - they never recovered);

Hazel squints to read texts, despite having perfect vision (she likely picked this up from a parent with poor eyesight);

Dez gets the stares when she's actually listening - if her eyes are working, her ears are not;

Daniel still makes the motion of tucking hair behind his ear, even though he's had short hair for years;

Daniel also has the habit of using nicknames people never asked for (see: Josh instead of Joshua, Dez instead of Destiny - but that one Stuck);

Dylan picks at his phone case when he's deep in thought, leaving it as scraps holding on by literal threads;

Joshua would be immensely sentimental - he wants to keep things even when they're in tiny pieces - but being on the move all his life meant he had to leave things behind a lot;

Sam never learned how to tie his shoelaces properly, and instead just ties knots until they stay "tied enough" (aka so tangled they can't dangle);

Lillian literally always has a book on her, even when it should be implausible (or even impossible), she has a book somewhere on her person;

In that vein, Charlie always has some kind of action figure on them - it makes for a quick tool in the heat of battle, and can be free entertainment in a pinch;

Hazel keeps a hairpin tucked under her curls, not keeping her hair in place or anything, it's just there in case she needs to pick a lock or stab someone and can't reach a different weapon;
