so i just read your meta on selective empathy for white males (thank you for the steve-manhandling-natasha part btw, that bugged me so much) and knowing that asking proves your point - what female character was "killed to show how evil the bad guy is" in Cap 2? there were so few female characters that i feel like i can name them all but none of them were killed. help me out?

You're welcome, I glad you found the meta interesting. The female character who was killed in Cap 2 was Renata, Pierce's housekeeper. He shot her during the famous (infamous?) milk pouring scene. She had maybe two minutes screentime at most, which is a major problem: they created a very minor female character specifically for the purpose of killing her off to show how evil the villain is. The fact that most of fandom doesn't seem to remember that moment goes to show how unnecessary it was. We're so desensitised to violence against women on screen that it doesn't even register in our memory.

finland, huh? finn's are reserved, quiet, outdoorsy in a "can survive in the wild" kind of way, and drink a lot. don't get on their bad side because they will cut you. into heavy metal. :D

Ok, how do these apply to me:

I’m not particularly reserved… for a Finn. Not quiet either. I am outdoorsy and can survive in a wild (depends on how long…). Not that there is much to survive of in Finnish wilderness - winters are so warm nowadays that even cold doesn’t kill you. :)  I drink rarely.   We are not violent! What the fuck do you mean by that?! Take it back or I will stab you!! Heavy metal rocks!
