woac progress, for those who were asking a while back: I've spent the last couple of weeks making minor tweaks to the posted chapters. (I think chapter 5 got the most thorough polish; chapter 6 got the least). Mainly I've been taking copious notes on what I wrote so far, so I can track both the clues for the case and the emotional and thematic throughlines. I'm editing chapter 7 now, and have been for the last few days, mostly for continuity and because I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to include, but which kind of came out in a weird jumble in the original draft. Also, I really want this chapter to, uh, for lack of a better way of putting it, participate in the lyricism of the previous six chapters? So it's happening, I'm working on it every day for great gouts of time, I *think* I'm on the downhill slope, and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has encouraged me to keep going and said that they want more of this story. If you could put my psyche on paper, this fic would be pretty much it, so working on it again is a huge deal, and knowing there are people who want to read more just means so much.
