Roger is uhhhh well, an interesting character who I might not be able to describe precisely without a content warning, plus I'm not in the mood, soooo

what I realized is that I accidentally based his dynamic with Sydney (which is basically one of the most important plot points) on my dynamic with a real person, of course it's not identical but still, that's why it may be hyper specific (btw if you recognize yourself HELLOOOOO HAIIII !!!).

something you might think of as a plothole is the fact in the first part of the story, Roger basically comes in a set with Syd. Always. but dw it's not a plothole + it'll change.

opposed to Dave, Roger didn't change much! and yeah he's not sad and depressed all the time!

props to Lior ( @mishalikessoundsandcolours ) for giving me the idea of him being a barista for the sake of the Coffee Shop/Flower Shop joke. this is brilliant, thank you very much.

as stated in the paragraph above he is a barista (just to get the money at first but then he liked it a bit) AND RAHHHHHHH BASS GUITARRRRRSVHVSHVUSHVUHS. oh and he dropped out of architecture uni with Nick who is his BEST FRIEND, BASSIST X DRUMMER CONNECTION IS REAL! yeah all the canon stuff about family issues applies.

I'd say that his personality iss very influenced by Syd at some point, so he was deliberately normal while Syd was there and a bit after that. so here Roger's as a person's downfall is heavily reliant on Syd yay
