You’ve come to realise his tricks and tells, but you know that this wasn’t a growl of threat. He just loves you your warmth, nuzzling his face deeper into your neck, happy chuffs and sleepy whines every time you try to make yourself a little more comfortable.
Rubbing gentle circles against his slightly chubbed up tummy, his belly much softer since he’s been eating your food. Occasionally scratching his pointy ears and being rewarded by his sleepy sighs, tail wagging slightly.
He has made so much progress compared to when you first took him home, the muzzle now rusting away in some land fill.
He has now made his forever home.
