ALYSANNE KERSEY + WARSONG. HOTD GREEN VERSE.

Years before the Dance of the Dragons when the young Kersey heir was just under age 10, she found a starving direwolf that she believed was the runt of the litter and was left behind. Alysanne loved to explore the wilderness of the north, sometimes even being out there for days at a time. The young girl gave the wolf any food she had and he followed her home without a second thought. It was believed that he was only half a year old. Alysanne’s parents didn’t like her being bonded to such a dangerous animal but Alysanne wouldn’t take no for an answer. She named him Warsong and they were each other’s first loves.

Being the runt of the litter made him weaker though, like having night blindness. One night Alysanne woke up and tried to go to the kitchen but Warsong was on the ground, unknown to her, and he was startled awake scratching her leg to the point of blood for he didn’t see her and she him. Alysanne was advised to kill the wolf after that but she threatened anyone who dared harm him that she, herself, would take away their hands. The suggestion was never brought up again.

He was never locked away in stables, Alysanne brought him with her to everything including King’s Landing even when he grew past her and almost to six feet tall. The only time they weren’t joined at the hip was when she was on a dragon ride or traveled by boat.

If Alysanne had any romantic connections to Targaryens with dragons, Warsong would feel it through the bond and even would tolerate being in the same space as a dragon. When Alysanne became pregnant, Warsong was more protective and attentive to her than ever before. She even wanted him in the room with her when giving birth but he would growl at any maester who touched her so she sent him out. She was a little concerned for her children’s safety but after seeing him with her child for the first time that worry was soon over. Warsong was just as protective over her children as he was for her.

During the Dance, Alysanne never had to fight on the battlefield but if she did Warsong would’ve accompanied her and earned his name. The woman never needed any bodyguards, her wolf was more than enough. She never rode on the back of him out of respect, only her children did if they traveled for days (like to Harrenhal after Rhaenyra took King’s Landing).

Alysanne and Warsong never fought side by side together and that was the cause of their downfall. When trying to take on the Rouge Prince Daemon Targaryen just after sunrise on the 21st Day of the 5th month in 130 AC, Alysanne was stead with a sword but their coordination together never worked. Warsong was the only direwolf recorded to be anywhere near a Targaryen dragon and the stubbornness was shared between both of them. The direwolf targeted the Blood Wyrm while Alysanne targeted the Prince.

Warsong’s strategy was to tire out the dragon before striking, being as swift as he could dodging any fire or any teeth that came at him. When Dark Sister entered Alysanne’s abdomen, the wolf forgot about the dragon and lunged at the Prince where he took out his sword and slashed Warsong’s chest and stomach to where he would bleed out slowly.

It was unknown what taunt Alysanne used to make Daemon come back and make him plunge his sword into her chest but the Kersey woman died before her direwolf. Warsong howled and wailed enough to wake anyone in the Harrenhal castle and some bystanders in the Riverlands also reported to have heard it. The wolf didn’t stop, much like Catelyn Stark during the Red Wedding, until his own heart stopped when the Rouge Prince burned the wolf and the body of Alysanne with dragon fire.

Warsong was the only direwolf ever recorded to be killed by a dragon.

Some notes: Alysanne can’t warg into him like the Starklings can in the books but Warsong is very in-tuned with her emotions. His colors are tri-colored with black, brown, and white with dark eyes.

I kinda want to sleep at the cottage, so I can go canoeing at sunrise easier, but in all of my dreams where I sleep at the cottage I get eaten by bears or wolves. The pros and cons of rural countryside. 

I haven’t been bothered by these animals on my photography trips so I know my fear is completely irrational. The chances of this happening are super small. But not zero.

I have finally given in to the temptation and drew General Snownuts. I have other things to do (like the next part of a long comic series I'm making) but my brain said "but boobie"

My OCs Addie (sheep, they/them), Rock Monster (wolf, he/him), and Kendall (bird, he/they) as HTF characters

Kendall is actually a bird but Addie and Rock Monster are supposed to b lizard monsters. I just wanted to draw them as diff animals lol
