       After  a  long  day  of  working  ( parking  cars  is  a  taxing  job ),  exercise,  and being  beaten  at  his  own  game  yet  again,  the  martial  artist  found  the  sweet  allure  of  a  couch  very  convincing.  He  collapses  onto  the  stiff  cushions,  but  was  unbothered  by  their  disposition.  Before  long,  sleep  gripped  him ;  he  didn’t  fight  it.

        The  sudden  acknowledgment  startles  him  awake.  “ What?   --   no, ”  he  slurs  immediately,  his  voice  initially  raw  from  the  moment  of  snoozing.  Shang-chi  stretches,  vocal  chords  rumbling  with  satisfaction-  simultaneously  curing  his  previously  disheveled  state,  “  I  wasn’t  sleeping.  I  just..  needed  a  moment  to  collect  myself.”

But he’s running to meet with Luka as fast as possible. Also, translation is “teacher” or someone he respects quite a bit. Though he’ll call Luka “old man” in person.
