*Forcibly shoves Caroline in yo face* LOOK AT IT!! LOOKAT IT!!!!
Ahh yes, Caroline Becker; my favorite captain in Wolfenstein. I finally made a reference for my AU version of her after TNC! Below contains spoilers for wolfenstein TNO and TNC, but not Youngblood (as ive never played it) so just a fair warning before you click “read more”!
(For context; this is not canon! Shark is my OC!!)
Upon Caroline’s Death in the beginning of The New Colossus, Blazkowicz had no intention of keeping her death a secret; Segrun, Frau Engel’s daughter, takes her severed head in secret and hides it for a while, making sure that the rest of the crew doesn’t find out what her intentions were with it.
Though, being Frau Engel’s daughter, and taking the knowledge she learned from when Frau served for General Wilhelm, she knew a fair bit about the mechas and robots that Wilhelm designed and created; being tired of the relentless abuse from the Resistance simply for being Frau’s daughter, she decides to do something to ‘make it up to them’. Give them a reason to trust her.
After some tweaking with a stray militia robot parts that the Resistance had salvaged from the fire in their original base, she created the body. Of course, it was empty, meaning it had nothing to operate with. Without a brain, it was a hunk of metal. Albeit a threatening, lifeless guard dog if they were to throw it outside of a door.
Now.. The mechas need brains from humans to function properly; freshly prepared ones, at that. With no blood flow having gone to Caroline’s severed head within the month she had died, one would assume the brain simply didn’t work anymore. Though, Segrun figures out this isn’t true; Testing the vitals of the head, losing hope because this could possibly all had been for nothing… It shows some sort of cognitive thinking left. Segrun doesn’t know this, but the reasoning behind her head still working was the golden suit that had now been granted to Blazkowicz.
Placing the brain into the robot’s compartment, it shutters to life.
