Shit fuck I made another au based on other media that I don't know enough about and it quickly became its own thing. Forest cryptid recluse x a very lost sage
The basic gist is that sage goes out into the forest for research purposes and gets caught up in a storm, getting badly injured and passing out. He wakes up somewhere completely new with leafy bandages and a strange looking cookie standing over him. Upon closer inspection, it is very obviously not a cookie, and is actually forest creature that is technically just. A sentient tree.
And what does sage do when kidnapped by a stranger and stranded out in the middle of the woods? Trust him completely and ask for directions out of the woods, duh
And what does recluse do when this stranger infiltrates your home and asks you to guide him out of the VERY large forest? Ya help him, duh
So the two set off to find a way out of the woods and for sage to return to civilization. All while falling in love in the process. Hoorayyyy
An knee ways mostly in love with their dynamic. Recluse always sounds flat even when hes actually excited about something because he has trouble expressing his emotions sometimes. Sage is the EXACT opposite, wearing his heart on his sleeve basically. Sage doesnt mind recluse's deadpan in the slightest, and recluse loves how expressive sage is
And recluse is also. The most nonchalant about everything. He doesnt mind if sage sees how creature he is, because he doesnt really care how he appears to other people. He literally lives in the middle of nowhere, so hes not showing off to anyone. Sage is very accepting and just kinda rolls with it. "Me and my girl don't fight. She tells me to shut up and I do."
