Your stories inspire me to start writing and actually posting them on the web. When I'm down, or when I need a little bit of inspiration, I just reread your stories. They always make me smile. I’m so glad that I can make you smile, and feel better, and that I inspired you to go out and share your work with the world!
And can I tell you how BRAVE that is? How strong it is, to take work you pour a little bit of your soul and tears and blood into, and share it with everyone? For nothing? Just because you DECIDED to do it? Where anyone can say anything to you?
Because I REMEMBER finally, FINALLY, working up the courage to post something for people to read. I even remember how SICK i felt when I first did it, how nervous I was. And I remember the people who came to me, and were just as excited to talk about this AU, to talk about that character, that show, the ONE MOMENT in it that changed everything.
I remember how some people tore into it too. How rude and mean and vicious the world could be about things.
And it takes SO MUCH to take that first step- to keep stepping forward- and I never thought I personally would be the reason someone took that step, but it means....so much, that I was, that you told me so.
Don’t ever let anything anyone ever says to you stop you from writing, from doing what you want, from going out and taking that step over open air.
Because, yeah- you might fall, you might plummet towards the ground, but by god, you might FLY too. You might find wings. And it’s okay to fall for a while before you find them.
