Writing Again!

I'm finally FINALLY putting something together that started as a sketch three years ago. I committed to this piece because it's my way of putting certain memories to bed and trying to understand the random ways of pep people as a whole, and trying to make it seem less random, maybe?

Anyway, I just did the prologue and now that I'm no longer invested emotionally in I'm writing I can make it literary, a piece of art rather than an angsty memoir.

I will say that since there is so much negative emotion and energy surrounding that time, when I write it just flows out because I'm just talking about it rather than punching it up to be any more edgy or artsy. You know?

But yeah the ghost of that sadness comes out of the pages but my retelling of it is something I'm glad about and damn is it an interesting story.

Part of it is the exaggerated characters that make up Suicide Squad and the characters of the Batman universe. Part of it is the persona and the rogue nature of the person who influenced this character. Sometimes, to do your job, you have to be #thevillain . He's going to be the first and only with a title and the title will not appear until his segment of the overall storyline. So I guess this is a thing. I'm okay with it. :P Meet #thevillain . #wolfwrite

When your work has strong influences from reality, even with the consent and guidance of those on whom it is based, some characters are easier to write than others. I feel like I'm encapsulating certain traits and burying others, so that the resemblance is uncanny but impossible, somehow. These people are quite real, and breathing, and living. When I put them to paper, in a way I turn them to stone. At least this character would probably be good with my writing their entry with a @blackwing Pearl. It's my favorite pencil. #wolfwrite

My heart is not in this scene. Writing about band camp is tough because you have to be sterile or the nostalgia becomes too hard to deal with. But then you feel like you didn't write enough. Babysteps. #wolfwrite
