The 2nd story in this annual is a Maverick story where we learn he is dying from the Legacy Virus

Huh... looks like the writer of this agreed with how silly it was that this Cairn is just sitting out there...

So Logan and Kurt escape, but Logan wants to go back in and kill every last demon and the head demon leading them... but said demon kinda pops out, and is like "nah, you messed all my dudes up, I can't have to come back here" and blows the portal up for good...

A not super well-known fact about the X-Men is that, for some reason, on the grounds of their school, there is a place they call the Cairn, which is a portal to an alien/demon planet/dimension full of Xenomorph knock-off alien demon things, and it will just... randomly go active and plop out an unstoppable killing machine that will try to kill a student or something...

Anyway, this time one popped out, and Wolverine was nearby in his primal form, and he decided to throw down... and then Kurt showed up and instead of warning anyone, even though he could warp there and warp right back, he went in by himself without telling a soul.
