rebels au where, before kallus is outed as fulcrum but not before thrawn suspects him, the grand admiral and governor pryce take him to a "weapons lab" under the pretense of having a look around. kallus was already on the defensive since he thinks they're trying to bait him into giving highly confidential info to the rebels. but, jumpscare, he actually IS the weapon now. the empire sure loves their godly games and playing with genetics so bing bang boom suddenly kallus got wolverine claws and our lovely spectres gotta bust him out and help him come to terms with it
