Women’s Skates have a long line of history dating back before 1800 around 300 b.c to be precise through time women’s skates have been around the first skates being made of wood, bone and antler to 1850 when steel blades were created. The first person to introduce dancing on ice was back in 1865 and was a male who also was the one who first created the all-in-one blade and show. Skip ahead 41 years and the first women to win a skating competition was Madge Myers from Britain who took second place in an all male division which opened the door for many other female skaters and in 1906 became the first ever women’s figure skating champion.
