Wonderful Wine

Drinking Wine Wine, wonderful wine. It’s the oldest (okay, second oldest) liquid beverage in the world and it seems to just keep getting better and better (or is it, more on that later).

Wine has been a part of my life since I was a child, I’m Italian and wine is in my blood. There has never been a moment in my life where I have said “ No more wine, thanks” or “I don’t like wine” but I grew up hearing these blasphemous statements!

In high school, everyone drinks ice coolers and water down beer. In college, we move onto liquor and for some reason wine happens when work happens. Coincidently, by the time we start drinking wine we really know nothing about it.

Think I am wrong? Most women will tell you “I only drink whites” and order Pinot. The only sweet one people seem to sip on is Moscato and Marsala is still being used for cooking!

Who’s to blame? I would say our education system, but I took a wine history class. So maybe it is the elitists who think wine, which is made for the people, isn’ t for the people.

When you start learning about wine you may agree with me :) So let’s learn about wine together as I sip, smell, and intoxicate myself until all the vino is gone.
