Wondaria posting! I absolutely love Wondaria, shout out to that fictional amusement park/franchise, but it just means a lot to me
Echoing down the halls of an abandoned mall long overtaken by nature, a weathered and barely functional television plays a promotional VHS tape on a continuous loop. It attempts, in eternal vain, to lead new pilgrims toward a forgotten wonderland. 🚂🎪🐶🦆🎡🎢
wondog and wondy!!
Detective Kirby:
Early on in this blog, I couldn’t help but see a similarity in the totems of the Redgar Forbidden Lands and the Wondog and Wondy pillars of Wondaria. Originally, I was expecting to meet the author of those sci-fi books down the line. Up until meeting ID-F86, I sincerely thought I would meet him and that he would be involved in the people's departure. Wondog and Wondy gave me an uneasy feeling with their "Pinky-and-the-Brain" smiles.
The gotcha details about the Primal Awoofies of the Forbidden Island stated that they were the wild cousins of their less menacing counterparts. Wondog and Wondy were based on domesticated awoofies native to the Forgotten Land. I therefore believed that the pillars were more ancient than the amusement park.
As I came to find out, there were no more humans left on this planet, not even some rich author turning a profit from others' obsession with his dreams of far off worlds made reality. Suddenly the creepy pillars of Redgar did not seem so connected to the park after all.
That's when I realized--What else were we seeing in the Redgar Forbidden Lands? Look out towers, beds of leaves with shelters and snacks... Giant claw marks. As the Primal Awoofy Gotcha states, the Originull Wasteland was the birthplace of the Beast Pack and I was deep in their territory.
Therefore the pillars there were somehow constructed BY the Beast Pack AFTER the humans had left. So what if... What if they had seen Wondaria as a mysterious place where these two characters were practically worshipped. Without any other context, and not being able to read, an amusement park would have been alien to them. But they would have seen the excessive products with that same likeness taking the form of statues, plush toys, collectible cups, bags...along with posters depicting them in urban areas.
What else would the Beast Pack have thought but that the characters were entities of significant importance? After all, the intelligent and mighty humans had made such idols in their honor.
Inspired, and wanting to emulate the land's former masters, the Beast Pack modeled THEIR statues after Wondaria's, designing them to be more imposing, but just as magnificent.
Another entry for TheStellarSage on DeviantArt's "Nintendo Cheerleaders" collab, here we have Kirby wearing a Wondog-themed mascot costume. He looks ready to spread some cheer, don't you think so? 😊
